the Beatles would exist in star wars but they'd be actual beetles. they'd look like the real Beatles but w like insect antenna and they'd be part of an alien species who are all musicians. they'd all have star warsed versions of their names except for Ringo bcos Ringo Starr is already a star wars name.

All this discourse over who does "painting with light"
Hiroshi Nagai's paintings need sunglasses to look at.
They look like how it feels to walk across a parking lot on a 98Β° summer day without a speck of shade in sight.
They look like heaven but also like you'd burn your bare feet on the ground.
Even when you can see shade you know it's not enough and the minute you step out you'll be burnt to a crisp like a vampire.
And it's BEAUTIFUL

being anti-amatonormativity in a romance centered world is like watching half the people you know put all their eggs in one basket and then drop the basket and all their eggs break and theyβre crying and swearing theyβre never gonna do that again and then a month later they have all new eggs in a new basket and they tell you the problem was they didnβt have a strong enough basket or fresh enough eggs and then they drop the fucking basket again.
(this post is about putting all your time, energy, and care into one relationship, about staking all your happiness on a romantic relationship, effectively making the entirety of your joy and stability dependent on one person who could exit your life for any number of reasons no matter how great the relationship seems. itβs about the societal expectation to build your entire social life around one long term relationship, putting all your eggs in that basket, so to speak, instead of tending to larger social network and maintaining a variety of strong connections so that even if one very important relationship comes to an end, you wonβt be losing your whole social life in one fell swoop.)

Dissimilar ways to support your local artists in person!
With how AI is being used nowadays, especially when it comes to unintelligent individuals having access to it. Creativity is being threatened in so many different forms. With this post, however, I'd like to remind you about the artists who focus on visual arts.
As someone who thrives in the creating space, I've seen multiple ways artists manage to earn recognition and an excellent profit. Social media isn't the only way you can reach one. Some options are a lot smoother than others. Myself, I've been told growing up not to rely on buying stuff from the internet, not just because of experiences, but also for the fact that it's not really safe.
It's been proven many times that your personal data can be stolen, to then being used against you, so if you're one of these people who are reluctant to buy stuff from sites like Etsy, Folksly, Golmagine, Vinted, Un Grand MarchΓ©, or Amazon handmade. Here's the things you can do in order to buy the objects that you want in a public manner.
Locales to go to:
Cons = artist alley.
Festivals/carnivals.
Yard sales.
Workshops/art clubs.
Public art programs.
Tourist areas.
Independent shops in the city.
Culture houses.
These are the alternatives I have visited and learned about growing up, I'm pretty sure there are more, I'm just not familiar with them. I fully recommended going to Cons, since that's the one where you find artists focused on your favourite fandoms.
Festivals occur everywhere, certainly in the summer, products can be expensive, but they do sell lovely things. You definitely won't regret checking it out.
Workshop artists usually specialise in a certain craftsmanship, such as glassblowing. You wouldn't mind taking home a glass sea turtle, would you?
I'll be honest, Yard sale artists aren't that common, and you usually find them when it's a big event going on. So far, I've only managed to see ones who sell jewellery and paintings, so if that isn't your taste. You might want to check somewhere else.
Tourist areas are like the goldmine to finding all kinds of different artists, from those who wants to be more professional, so they have their own shops, to those ones who rather be sitting on the ground as they offer you all sorts of handmade things you'd want to take home with you as a sovuiner. No matter which path you take, you will guarantee stumble upon one eventually.
Independent shops have their own schedules. They don't always open as a normal store, and they can have their own rules. So it's good to do some research beforehand and even ask the owner for some questions if some things are unclear, there's no thing as a stupid question.
Culture houses are phenomenal in a way where they give it their all, yet they're not there to stay. Exhibits are one example of this. They are there for a limited amount of time to give you the experience to enjoy something you like, and they always do sell items related to that event. Such as pins, t-shirts, bags, trinkets, alongside books as well.
Public art programs are more aimed towards the ones who want to engage with art and want to work with the pros. It depends on the age range really. You can buy direct commissions, creative materials, artistic services, along with standalone artworks.
Those are all the options that you could possibly need. Before you decide to leave, here's an anathor list of digital artists I've bought from in the past. Now, some of these people do have an online shop, whilst others rather focus on posting what they love. They have social media accounts on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter. Conceivably on alternative platforms as well. I'm not aware of all of them.

I can't believe home depot literally produced a wildly successful science fiction musical and we all just pretend it didn't happen. on one hand yes it had a boring white guy main character but like.... home depot just... Made it? And it had shit ton of box office sales? and no one even talks about this. this is like avatar (2009) all over again
OK so. After a lot of frantic googling I realized this was all a dream. home depot did not in fact produce a wildly successful science fiction musical. I was on allergy meds and took a nap and my brain simply prophesized this. slightly disappointed because I wanted to watch it.

"very guilty and problematic client" holy copaganda batman
letβs start parsing who does and doesnβt deserve representation and assign moral weight to agreeing to protect their rights I donβt see how this could possibly go wrong
This is the endpoint of assigning morality based on ontologies of people. You wind up with the simplest ontology: good or bad.
Getting tired of saying this but
THE POINT OF A DEFENSE ATTORNEY ISN'T TO GET THEIR CLIENT OFF. IT'S TO MAKE THE STATE PROVE THEIR CASE AND DO THEIR DUE DILIGENCE.
IT'S TO PROVIDE A CHECK ON THE POWER OF THE STATE TO JUST THROW PEOPLE IN JAIL.
If someone "gets off" because of a technicality that means the state DID NOT DO THAT.
i think its fine to have limited tastes in media if you understand your limitations. like i wont shame someone if they only watch cartoons because thats their choice but i also dont think you can go making hot takes about the horror genre if the scariest thing youve watched this decade was the owl house finale. that seems ill advised.

if you're confused about all the pumpkins and ghosts and stuff, it's actually a sort of seasonal harvest festival in parts of the northern hemisphere. yeah, it's kinda weird to think about how it's autumn down there when up here it's spring, haha yeah imagine them all, upside down, and getting colder in october when it's just starting to warm up
and can you imagine, down there it's COLD at christmas, crazy right?
that's nonsense, why would it be cold at christmas, it doesn't even make sense? that's a festival about the birth of something??? obviously that happens in summer.
Excuse me?! What you guys doing calling the northern hemisphere "down there"?! We're north. That's UP on a map when it's oriented properly.
what the fuck are you talking about?
