Contextually Unprepared

I need someone to write a tumblr thesis about TTH’s visual treatment of the bodies at the end of episode 3, cuz it never feels like we’re invited to ogle them despite how naked they are (and these being two of the biggest actors in the BL industry). The lighting’s not used to give them dehydrated abs. We don’t scan them. They’re not posed for optimal body-built angles. We’re inside the moment with them, feeling the vulnerability and sexual tension that exists on an emotional rather than entirely visual level. It’s a deeply erotic scene but using such different tools (the droplets on the skin, the silence, the flickering lights, the risk of exposure) than we’re used to seeing to get us hot and bothered.
