I'm happy to say my friend got the apartment she was looking at, and she's been able to sign up for some assistance including food stamps but she still doesn't have much income and can use any help she can get. She's got a 2 year old daughter and twins on the way, so anything helps! I really want her to make it, otherwise she might have to go back to her violently abusive babydaddy!!

My followers who are settlers on Turtle Island may be familiar with the English translation of the Lakota saying "mní wičóni" -- "water is life." This declaration of the centrality of water to all of existence on this planet has been used for a long time, but became known widely outside of Lakota communities as a political slogan following the direct action by water protectors against the Dakota Access Pipeline. Right now First Nations activists are struggling against the expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline as the "Build Canada Act" proceeds. Descendants from many colonized African nations who were abducted into chattel slavery in the United States are subject to the destruction of their access to clean water repeatedly, with one infamous example being the water crisis in Flint Michigan.

This piece describes Israeli tactics of preventing access to potable water, polluting water, and destroying the means of cleaning water. Israeli blockades do not only prevent the movement of food, but also vital supplies such as essential spare parts for water desalination units, generators, borehole pumps, and water tanks. They destroy infrastructure for cleaning and transporting water, and then obstruct and delay access to the means to repair this infrastructure.

Last month, Ahmad Abushawish published an article with Al-Jazeera titled "In Gaza, water kills too" where he wrote:

Since the start of the genocide, the Israeli army has relentlessly targeted Gaza’s water infrastructure. More than 85 percent of Gaza’s water and sanitation structures are inoperable – including pipelines, wells, and treatment facilities. Israel has blocked the entry of water-related materials to the Strip, making repairs difficult. It has also targeted the warehouse of the water utility authority, destroying equipment and spare parts. Worst of all, workers trying to make repairs or operate water infrastructure have been directly targeted and killed. Working in the water sector has now become a deadly job.

Not only is he starving and unable to access medical care, but he must travel great distances for water that isn't even safe to drink. Ahmed and his brothers need to travel a distance of 6 kilometers every day to fill contaminated water from the sea. There is no way to purify this water, and it makes them ill.

His campaign has only raised €12,733 so far, much less than many others. He is only a teenager, and he is trying desperately to raise enough money for his family to survive.

We just cannot be totally shocked now to learn that the WCK also shared their coordinates with the Israeli forces and they too had not one, not two, but three of their marked vehicles targeted separately killing 7 of their staff.

It's all part of the same plan with the same agenda on a genocidal loop. It's systemic evil and literally predictable at this point.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.
