here's the thing. he is the greatest player of all time. he probably does deserve another world cup. a ot of the accusations of cheating by fifa are at worst utterly unfounded and at best a bunch of sore losing/misunderstandings of the rules of football by casual viewers. that said there has been some tomfuckery by fifa as an organisation and by individual referees throughout the tournament! as there always is! refs always favour giving fouls to higher seeded teams, they tend to think they're less likely to fake it, you see this in most leagues and cups worldwide. the injury time minutes and a couple of VAr rulings have been fifa fuckery but like. unfortunately. argentina are a very good side. they wouldn't have been able to win as many games as they have if they weren't. messi is truly the greatest footballer who has ever lived, the game has changed fundamentally from team tactics to playstyle because of his class. england tried to park the bus against him and it was the worst tactical decision they could have made. kick and chase football is impossible when your number 10 is harry kane (it should have been jude, they'd have had a chance if jude had played at the 10 and harry at the 9 but whatever!!!). i still hate argentina, i think they play dirty & should have picked up a lot more cards throughout the tournament but i think that's come from very very tactical nastiness not from a big conspiracy, these players do it in every fucking league they play in constantlyyyy. i want lamine to kill him because im angry specifically about today and because the other players are by and large actual massive pieces of shit. HOWEVER. a lot of the cheating stuff is coming from people who don't watch let alone understand football so im truly sick of seeing and hearing it from a lot of y'all lmaooooo.
