I don't like when suicide prevention focuses on "think about your family, your friends, la la la", like. If someone is in that mindset, if you are so far gone in your pain and misery that death seems like the only solution, I don't think the additional guilt trip of, "aw but what about other people!!" Like, in my lowest of lows, I'm not thinking about my parents or the people that care for me—I'm thinking about how my material circumstances are making living impossible. So, maybe... if more care was given to livable wages, universal basic income, healthcare, housing, etc... I'm sure that'd do much more for those struggling with suicidal ideation than guilt trips.

I’m sorry, but the logic that a rapist “won’t stop” because you’ve warned other people about their behavior so it’s meaningless to warn other people is so stupid. I think potential victims actually have a right to know about predators in their community. Lack of accountability is not an argument against warnings, it’s actually an argument for them.

Oh yeah, it did come with benefits, but they weren't really worth it. The culture was really toxic. To be honest I think I'd prefer a part-time gender so I can just be self-described in my spare time.

I mean, in a perfect world we wouldn't need gender, you know? We could just voluntarily be perceived as much as we're able, as much as makes us feel fulfilled. Having a full-time gender shouldn't be a prerequisite for food, shelter, and healthcare.
