This and That and Everthing in-between

I had my first order for two dozen assorted muffins. My customer was very happy!

Good morning!

I realized this morning that I’ve been going through the motions for way too long.

I’ve been focused on the to do lists, the errands and all the things I have to do everyday…

And frankly, it’s left me feeling empty inside.

Somewhere along the way, I’ve lost that spark that ignited my passions and made me feel alive.

I can’t tell you how or why that’s happened, only that in the process of making a living, I forgot how to truly live.

I’ve stopped chasing my dreams and being present in the moments.

I don’t know what tomorrow may bring and I don’t have to.

I can’t let what may happen, what could happen or what may never happen keep me from being happy any more.

I’m seeking out those things that make me feel alive.

Midnight conversations about everything and nothing.

Road trips without maps.

Losing myself in the music and dancing wherever the mood may strike me..even if that’s in the kitchen, in the car or even in the shower.

I’m letting go of the expectations, judgements and approval of others..

They don’t live my life and don’t know what makes me happy.

This time, these choices-

They’re for me.

To fill my soul and spark my spirit to life.

I don’t want these things..

I need them.

So if you want to find me, you won’t catch me staring at a screen or checking social media.

I’ll be out there, living life and seeking the beauty of the moments.

I will do the things I stopped doing a while back and choose experiences over things.

I don’t need more material possessions , I need less.

But what I do need more of is happiness, fulfillment and adventure.

But what I need most of all is to be free.

The lists, tasks and obligations aren’t going anywhere..

I am.

I’m taking that road trip without a destination or schedule and not a care in mind.

With the wind at my back and the sunlight on my face, I can’t wait to once again be free.

That’s where I belong.

Loving passionately, living fully and losing myself in the moments.
