I gave up on trying to be cool a long time ago.
No, I chose to be something different and that has made all the difference:
So, yeah, maybe I’m not following all the trends and joy fashionable..
I’d rather by classic, timeless and unforgettable-
And I can’t be that if I’m just like everyone else.
My style, my way, my happiness.
I would rather live a life that’s full of character, class and depth.
No superficial, fake or approval seeking.
I’ll pass on all that, cause I don’t need validation for who and what I want to be.
I’d rather have 5 quality friends than a 100 fake friends.
I say what I mean and mean what I say, so you’ll always know what you’re getting with me.
No surprises, lies or excuses.
Maybe I won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but it’ll be the truth.
The older I get, the less interested I am in impressing people who were never meant to stay.
I don’t want to fit into a world that rewards pretending over authenticity.
I’d rather stand alone as myself than belong by becoming someone I’m not.
The people who matter won’t be drawn to the mask.
They’ll be drawn to the honesty.
To the person who shows up the same way behind closed doors as they do in front of a crowd.
Because character never goes out of style.
Integrity never becomes outdated.
And the people who spend their lives chasing approval will always be exhausted trying to keep up.
I’ll keep choosing what’s real over what’s popular.
