Fujiko has this, insane trust(??? Maybe belief is a better term) in Lupin's abilities that she knows whatever she throws at him he'll be fine. Which to an outsider sounds like she just doesn't care about him at all but jokes on you you're just not in in their weird roleplay where they communicate telepathic style but never verbally and get mad at the other when it doesn't work

I love how she calls lupin "lover" because to me it's like, an inside joke. Like they're giggling calling each other standard romantic terms because it's such an understatement of what they have going on

In the end they know what they want and recognize themselves in the other, and whether they use that to fuck with or help the other depends on their mood lmao

Jigoe:

Bruh even though I have a deep love for these two's dynamic I have a hard time verbalizing except for just "They love each other a lot and hug OKAY!?" and I start sobbing

I don't think they'll use labels, that goes also for the rest of them for me honestly. Partners is just vague enough to explain whatever they got going
