āA mile in Pops shoesā has to be my favorite one off Lupin works. The āLupin and Zenigata care deeply about each otherā aspect of their relationship is really emphasized in it!
When Lupin thinks Zenigata is acting weird, he immediately ditched his plans and turned his attention toward the man, despite insisting on it the heist early. And when āZenigataā crashes, upon seeing him bloody and out cold? Lupin is distraught, just look at his face! He panics, really panics, especially when it seems Zenigata is dead.
But of course, it was a fake. A rando who Lupin couldnāt care less about, yet he was far from calmed.
He takes action despite the dangers, remarking how it is the only way.
We then get this little tidbit.
ā¦..
And then thereās the end.
Theres the interaction between Lupin and Fujiko that I find so interesting.
For all the times, the women works against the gang, this is one of the times Lupin doesnāt immediately give into the women or any of the usual Lupin-shenanigans. Heās clearly, at least a little, angry. When she starts propositioning him, he even grabs her by the hair. Itās not violent per se, but itās a clear sign that he isnāt messing around.
āIāll be freeing Pops myself, first and foremost.ā
Zenigata, while not in the best conditions, is alive.
The first thing he tries doing is attack Lupin, unaware that itās him. Yet when he does, heās obviously shocked. Lupin, despite trying to act like it, isnāt as happy to luckily and unbothered as he appears to be.
Again, look at his face. We only get his eyes, yet youāre still able to get a good picture of his feelings at the moment.
Heās relieved.
And, without hesitation, he carefully dresses the man, talking aloud.
My honor, theyāre gay as hell.
The full story is on my account!
