I'm sorry to hear about the being mocked irl thing, I completely get you there :( in high school, my friends made fun of mlp/eqg so much so i never said anything about it. but ironically now that i'm older, I was able to find so many friends who had the same interests as me because I decided it wasn't something I really wanted to hide anymore and I wanted to be excited and talk about the things I love!! All the friends I have online as well as my partner is because I just simply decided not to give a shit, and enjoy the things I love!! And theyre my favorite people ever and we've been friends for so many years so it's so worth it:) I even made friends IRL who love mlp at my big age, and we actually cosplayed the main 6 at a con!! <3 point is, trying to hide your interests from certain people probably means youre not going to enjoy being around them anyways, so might as well be transparent about your happiness and you'll be able to find the people you actually want to be friends with<33
