The two twins stumbled into the base, the red one noticeably damaged. Sunstreaker had been pushed off a cliff and Sideswipe had jumped to save him, resulting in them both having a bumpy landing. Sunstreaker took the concern off himself and let it be focused on his brother, having insisted he was fine and that his brother had taken the brunt of the crash. Sunstreaker had insisted so sincerely that Sideswipe paid no mind to the fact that his brother was a phenomenal actor when he wanted to be, and therefore let the gash on the golden soldiers lower back go unnoticed. As they walked into the base, other bots obviously noticed the energon leaking from the golden twins side, but kept their lip components shut after the warning glare Sunstreaker had given anyone heâd seen had noticed. They slipped into the medbay and Sunstreaker helped prop Sideswipe up on an empty berth for examination and medical attention.
âRatchet, youâve got a new patient,â Sunstreaker called, earning a nod from the medic.
âYes, yes, Iâll get to you two in a min-... wait did you say patient? As in one?â Ratchet popped his helm up to face the twins, a skeptical look on his faceplate.
Sunstreaker felt his spark stop for a moment. He didnât want Sideswipe to worry about him. He lied to the crimson red twin for a reason. The last thing he needed was Ratchet catching on to his facade.
âUh yeah. Uhm- Sideswipe took the brunt of the damage and stuff so I donât really need repairs or anything. Iâll be fine for a few more missions at least. So uhm yeah itâs just Sideswipe that needs fixing up,â Sunstreaker lied quickly. Ratchet narrowed his optics suspiciously, looking over the yellow twin.
âAlright, if you say so, Sunstreaker.â
Sunny let out a vent of relief as Ratchet returned to repairing who, from what Sunstreaker could tell, looked to be Ironhide. As Sideswipe focused on doing his best to stop his worse wounds from leaking energon, Sunstreaker slowly and quietly slipped out of the medbay and retreated to the twinsâ shared quarters.
As soon as he got to their quarters Sunsteaker went for his private stash of medical supplies. Once he retrieved what he needed to keep himself from leaking energon, he slipped into the private wash racks attached to their quarters. Turning to his side so the wound would be as visible as possible, Sunstreaker focused on doing as best a job as he could.
After about twenty minutes and several attempts, the yellow frontliner finally managed a decent patch job. He let out a soft vent as he observed his patch work in the mirror.
âNow to hope nobody noticesâŚâ he mumbled.
