i think i will keep using the #anti go3 tag forever so even people who hated the finale can filter it out for their own mental health if they want to focus on positive good omens (s1) posts
throwback forward thursday or whenever this post finds you ♡
Rule: post the first lines from your current wips (or your favorite lines, whatever floats your boat! everything's made up and the points don't matter!!) and let your followers vote on which lines intrigue or excite them the most.

Since I'm currently working on one single wip (Somewhere, A Place For Us, my own version of good omens season 3), here are five of my favourite quotes from various chapters (not telling which ones, of course!)
1. Up there, no one listened to the Starmaker when he said he wasn’t lonely. That was because they knew a liar when they saw one.
2. What he really felt, nestled at the endocarp of the stone he called a heart, apple-shaped and rotting at a speed a whole lot faster than light, was anger. A swamp-coloured, flesh-eroding, reason-stifling broth in which he had simmered for far too long.
3. Are you perfect, yet? Are you shining through the cracks of my soul, are you making me whole? Are you making me proud, are you making me forget?
4. They stared at each other. If either of them moved, flinched, twitched, or even breathed a little too hard, they would go for it, forsaking everything for one night, for a few hours, or just for a minute. They longed for each other's touch way too much, and it was too hard, and much too late now, to tell craving from aversion, fondness from dislike and above it all, love from hatred. Any blunder, any at all, and clothes and pride alike would be left at the door.
5. "Think of all you could do if you channelled all that pain—all that anger that he left in his wake—” "Mmmh, keep salting the wound, I'm close—"

STAND-ALONE CHAPTERED FICS:
All I've Ever Wanted (Is You) (Human AU; misunderstanding)
Rated: M, 2/6 chapters posted (started 4/16/2026)
They met at Ana and Newt’s pre-wedding party. Aziraphale remembers being absolutely stunned by Crowley’s good looks—and mortified by his coarse language. That only lasted until they began a hilarious (and frankly unhinged) conversation about the intelligence of dolphins and whales, and something about the kraken, if memory serves. From that moment on, they have been nearly inseparable.
That was five years ago. These days, Aziraphale frequently slips onto a bar stool and keeps Crowley company for a few hours while he works a slow shift at an upscale Mayfair pub, and Crowley spends many a lazy day lounging in Aziraphale’s bookshop in Soho.
But there’s nothing more to it than that. Because Aziraphale and Crowley are merely friends. They’ve never been more than friends. They never will be.
Of course not.
Inseparable (Human AU; childhood friends to lovers)
Rated: M, 5/5 chapters posted (started 3/20/2026)
Aziraphale lost his best friend when they were sixteen, and it had been like losing his own heart. After twenty years, he’s moved on, but he’s never given up on finding her. When a stranger sits down beside him at a pub and calls him “angel,” it triggers memories he thought were long buried… and maybe the second chance he never thought he’d get.
A Chronicle of Affection (or How to Get Everything You Want in Just 12 Months) (Human AU; friends to lovers)
Rated: M, 75K words, 16/16 chapters posted (2/6/26)
Part of the Winter Omens Big Bang
Anthony Crowley is 40 years old and down on his luck. In the past few years he’s lost his job as a journalist, his boyfriend, his flat, and most of his self-respect. When he hears about the chance to nanny a three-year-old boy, it looks like the opportunity he’s been waiting for to turn his life around.
At 57, bookshop owner Aziraphale Fell has resigned himself to his perpetual bachelorhood. Still, each year, he looks forward to dressing up in his vintage Father Christmas suit and turning his bookshop annex into a holiday wonderland.
When Crowley and his young charge, Adam, attend Father Christmas’s Magical Bookshop, it’s clear the two men are attracted to one another. Over the course of the next year they become friends, important to one another in every way. The question is, can they face their fears and admit that they have fallen quite deeply in love?
Entangled (Human AU; enemies to friends to lovers)
Co-authored with MissUnderstoodLyrics
Rated: E, 69K words, 18/18 chapters posted (12/18/25)
As an up-and-coming post doc, marine biologist Anthony J. Crowley landed a coveted grant from The Eastgate Conservancy to study the lives of endangered sea turtles. When the Conservancy accused him of misappropriation of funds, his research was halted. He’s carried a grudge for the past twenty-five years.
Now an award-winning researcher with a worldwide YouTube following, Dr Crowley has been offered another grant from the Conservancy to replicate his original study. There’s just one catch—Aziraphale Eastgate, a member of the Conservancy board, will be traveling on the Sea Serpent as an observer for the duration of the project.
Confined on the ship with documentary cameras capturing their every move, Crowley and Aziraphale can’t avoid each other—or the chemistry simmering between them. What begins as daily sparring over data and methods slowly softens into mutual respect, and then develops into something deeper—and far more dangerous.

Dr. Crowley is the latest hire in the English Department at Eden Valley University. He doesn’t know his colleague Dr. Fell, and he doesn’t want to. Now, more than two decades later, Crowley hears a familiar sultry voice reading some of the filthiest smut he's ever heard, and he wonders if he might have a second chance with the angel who got away.
Crowley has left a string of broken hearts in his dating wake, and his best friend, Aziraphale, has had it. Crowley claims it’s not his fault, and swears he doesn’t lead anyone on. It isn’t as if he is promising them anything, he’s just taking them on dates.
Aziraphale points out that the two of them have been friends for years, and yet he isn’t in love with Crowley, but Crowley insists that if they were dating that might change. Pepper had just walked in the front door for her day shift. Hadn’t even taken off her coat, much less gotten a cup of coffee, when Brian stopped her.
“Hey, got a minute?” Brian looked… tense.
“Sure, Bri. What’s up?”
“Remember a while ago when you asked me to keep an eye on Crowley and Aziraphale? To let you know if anything seemed amiss?”
“That ship’s sailed,” Pepper replied. “I’m sure I misunderstood.
That’s what I get for eavesdropping.”
“Well…” Brian said uncertainly. “I’m not so sure.”
“Oh, good lord. What’s happened now?” Pepper sat down wearily behind the reception desk and put her head in her hands.

Need I say more?

Kittin in July: Pride 2025
Rated: M, 6500 words, 1/1 chapters posted (7/4/2025)
Crowley had all but given up on Aziraphale. He had grown used to spending his days and nights alone. What was one more night, even if it was Christmas Eve?
That’s when he heard it. A mewling, small and desperate.
Who says dreams don't come true?
"Love may feel like a heavy burden with the Ten of Wands."
For six thousand years, Crowley carried the burden of his relationship with Aziraphale. When Aziraphale left, that burden had been lifted. And while he had missed him—like a pulse, like a limb—now that he’s back, Crowley isn’t certain he's willing to take that burden up again.
What he doesn’t understand is—he doesn’t have to.

All the Pretty Girls (I Have Waited)
Rated: M, 8100 words, 1/1 chapters posted (12/24/2024)
Week after week, Crowley met women at the local coffee shop—pretty, funny, smart women. He enjoyed their company. They had perfectly pleasant conversations. And he never called them back.
The one constant, aside from six shots of espresso in a big cup? The funny, friendly, kind—and very male—barista.
Crowley had tried to be patient with Aziraphale. He didn’t know what had happened in the years since he had Ascended because Aziraphale wouldn’t talk about it. But his decision to confront the angel was made out of desperation. He should have learned from that terrible kiss that those sort of moves don’t end well. This one went no better.
Inspired by "I'm The Only One" by Melissa Etheridge.
“The rainbow,” Crowley spat. “It’s not beautiful. It’s a symbol of death and destruction. Why’d you think I wear black and grey? Why’d you think I dislike all the fancy–” he gestured around the park “–rainbow colors?"
“Oh, my dear,” Aziraphale sighed. “I think you’ve got it wrong."

Hold Me Tight Until the End of Days (Post Season Two)
Rated: M, 2900 words, 1/1 chapters posted (2/24/2025)
The world was ending. Again. Aziraphale had done his best, had given it his all, and it hadn’t been enough. Now, all he wanted to do was spend the last hours or days or years that were left with the only being he had ever truly loved.
Inspired by "Wild Blue Yonder" by The Amazing Devil
From his position below, Aziraphale could see the angel falling … falling … falling down, casting a shadow against the sun as they plunged from the celestial plane to the infernal one below. He watched as the angel Fell—into the molten lake of sulfur, into the Abyss, into the very pits of Hell. And just like the countless other times he had tried to save them and had failed, Aziraphale fell as well—into a heap of tears and rage and sorrow.
Inspired by "Fallen Angel" by Robbie Robertson.
This Fragile, Peaceful Existence (Post Season Two)
Crowley is trying to relax into this fragile, peaceful existence it appears they’ve been granted after more than six thousand years of being on opposite sides. Millennia of lying about how they feel (I don’t even like you) and who they are (I’m not nice. I’m never nice.). Eons of burying emotions, eternities of denying desires. They are hard habits to break. But he’s trying.

A swamp-coloured, flesh-eroding, reason-stifling broth in which he had simmered for far too long.

mixing it up for tbt this week with a new tag game: post the first lines from your current wips (or your favorite lines, whatever floats your boat! everything's made up and the points don't matter!!) and let your followers vote on which lines intrigue or excite them the most.
(apparently tumblr poll answers have an 80-character limit so uh. rip if you're a wordy bitch like me)
which of these sentences from my wips titillates you the most?
Every demon worth their char-blackened salt knew about The Hallway.
"You've hardly touched your crepes," observed Aziraphale from across the table.
Demons, as a general rule, always woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
“And if I wanted you to?” Aziraphale asked in a low voice. “Be nice, that is."
Voting ended onJul 17
and a wordy bitch honorable mention:
Dagon, Master of Torments (on a bad day), Lord of the Files (on a worse one), was absolutely smashing this ‘being human’ thing, if they said so themselves.

WIP 1:
You see, the plant was the only thing blocking Crowley's nether regions. His naked nether regions. His naked nether regions that were attached to his body, which was also very, very naked.
WIP 2:
They don't make it to the settee. A few steps and Crowley's legs buckle. Oh, fuck, he collapses to the floor, body crumpling like a marionette with its strings cut… that then promptly takes a header off its little puppet stage into the audience.
WIP 3:
“They've slotted me between the Anatolian Shepherd Dogs and the Angled Sunbeam Caterpillars, actually.”
“Oooh, caterpillars for bunkmates,” said Crawly with no small amount of underlying venom. “Convenient. Should have plenty of room to stretch your legs, then.”
WIP 4:
Despite being omni-everything, the Lord did enjoy material objects immensely. God had made them, after all. They were God's things. God took great pleasure in admiring the weight, shape, and… ooh, ooh colour! Can't forget that. Colour was delightful.
(God would miss colour. Best make a note to create something like that the next time.)

also also I'm sorry but I need to speak my truth. Aziraphale's line why give me Crowley, why make me complete and then take it away, while beautiful, bothers me a little bit too much. Because I never really believed God made either of them for each other; but that they chose each other, sought out one another through History and held on to each other anyway. That soulmates are not born, but made.
(also the fact that God was indeed watching the whole time and that She let Aziraphale and Crowley be nothing but puppets for Her own amusement like performing monkeys and considering the amount of suffering they went through, I find it extremely cruel. Your love for him always made me smile yeah okay. I know horror when I see it.)
This exactly! The cruelty of God towards people was always in the series, but in S3 it’s made explicit that it’s just for her amusement. HOW BLEAK! Our beloved boys didn’t deserve that.
