After receiving the visit of two, eerr, strangers, Aziraphale puts some music on and indulges in a fantasy about Crowley. Delicious smut in the form of a sad wank ensues, but you wouldn’t expect anything less from our beloved beardo. Beautifully written as always, this fic has all the feels.

And yet, the thing I loved the most about this fic is the unquestionable love between our two Ineffables! Fantastic fic!

My dear friend said that the fic is safe for the under-40s, but the over-40s should enter at their own risk and I agree: this fic is my love letter to middle age and I’m extremely proud of it.

Adorable outsider POV human AU. Andy is half asleep when she gets on her 8am bus on a Saturday. She just wants to run her errands and then go back to bed. She certainly doesn’t mean to eavesdrop on the conversation between the two people sitting a few rows behind her. If only they weren’t such a cute couple, it would be much easier to just focus on the trees outside. Great humour and characterisation as we have come to expect from this wonderful writer!

This human AU will put a huge smile on your face! Fluffy, adorable, heartwarming: I just want to hug this fic! Aziraphale is the owner of a pet supplies shop; Crowley finds a puppy and is in need of help and advice. I highly recommend it!

Guardian Angel: The Hot Line, by ItsScottiesStark. Rated T, 10k. P. May 25.

The vibes of this story are exactly what I’m after when reading fanfiction. That warm, cosy feeling that you’re cared for, that nothing bad can happen to you while you’re lost in the fic, that someone will wrap you up in a warm blanket and your hot chocolate will never get cold. Strangers to lovers human AU where Crowley wants to prank the operator of a sex line, but ends up calling a help line for queer people. No angst, all smiles and warm fuzzies. No fear, only happiness. I loved this so, so much!

Survival Is Insufficient Without Love (A Series Of Post-Apocalypse Vignettes), by bohoteacher. Rated T, 7k. P. Jul 25.

This beautiful story is a new classic! The narration is so tender, the prose so poetic, the plot so powerful! Can you tell I loved it? Post-apocalyptic human AU in which Crowley is in search of a garden and Aziraphale is in search of a printing press. Or rather, I'm sure you'll forgive me, Crowley is in search of a Garden and Aziraphale is in search of a Printing Press because these two things become almost mythical elements in the dynamics of this fic. I cried more times than I can tell you while reading, but mostly it was emotional, hopeful tears. That's what this fiction is full of: hope. Hope in the face of near-extinction. Hope and love and fight and resistance and community and home. Because without these things, survival is insufficient.

A Sequel to Our Homeward Steps Were Just As Light, this fic touched me just as deeply. It’s no secret that I’m partial to young master Warlock, and this fic is narrated in his POV, although in a human AU version of our Ineffables. This story is tender and delicate, it exudes love in all its different forms and it just makes you want to hold on to things. And to people. And I’m not crying, YOU ARE! But dry away those tears, this story has a happy ending!

Human AU. Crowley and Aziraphale work in the same office and Crowley is trying to gather the courage to ask Aziraphale out, only to get cold feet at the last moment. In order to try and save his face, he needs to do what the title says. I howled with laughter. Just put down whatever you’re doing and go read this right now. It’s unbelievably hilarious.

Aaawww. Aziraphale goes to order drinks for him and Tracy, and writes down his number for bartender Crowley. Crowley asked for it, right? RIGHT?? All well that ends well, this story is brief and sweet.

I've seen this little gem recommended a lot recently, and with very good reason! Human AU where Pepper works in a nursing home. Anthony is a beloved guest prone to causing trouble, Aziraphale is a new guest. It's tender, deep, funny and original. Stirs things in you, a fiction like that. I loved it. Extra points for being in Pepper’s POV.

Lovely human AU where Aziraphale and Crowley wake up together in Crowley's bed after Aziraphale's birthday party.  Alcohol was involved. And Gabriel. Should they be alarmed? Mortified? Thrilled? Did anything happen? Let's find out while the two roommates snuggle a little closer to each other.

Every year, the night before Christmas, taxi driver Aziraphale drives passengers to and from the hospital for charity. On the Christmas morning of 2023 he was ready to go home and rest with a cup of tea, a mince pie, and a book after a long night.

This my very first attempt at human AU, and it was great fun to write it without being bound by anything canon. It gave me a chance to play with some feelings and characterisations that I just don’t see in canon, but I like in fiction. I tried to throw in the mix a bit of humour, a tiny bit of short lived angst and, of course a happy ending!

Just a lovely peek into the life of future king Aziraphale on the day of his brother’s Gabriel funeral. He meets leader of opposition and anti-monarchist Crowley. This story left a delicious taste of nostalgia and what-ifs in my mouth; it was brief and effective. But a fair warning: if you need unquestionable closure in the fics you read, maybe you might want to give this one a miss. I loved it.

Merry Christmas, Hellspawn, by Libbyfay. Rated G, 4k. P. Dec 21.

Beautiful Warlock’s POV fiction. It's the first Christmas since nanny and brother Francis left without a word, and Warlock feels lonely. He goes to what used to be brother Francis’ shed, goes through the box of Christmas decorations and reminisces about the past, until someone knocks on the door. I am quite partial to the few, precious Warlock’s POV stories, and the author does an excellent job at depicting the pain of an 11 year old and that casual, matter of fact way 11 year olds deal with great pain. This story is delicate, and beautiful and deeper than it might seem.

Human AU. Crowley seems to have a ghost in his flat who takes care of him by preparing relaxing hot baths and providing nice meals. Don't worry, though, this is fiction, and AppleSeeds fiction at that. Happy ending guaranteed.

Oh,I adored this story! I have already recommended it to anyone who would listen and I'll recommend it again! It's a human AU where petty criminal Crowley tries to steal items from Aziraphale's bookshop and that's how their friendship begins. Delightful humour, warm vibes, great characterisation, hilarious references to canon: this fiction is a gem.

By now, everyone knows that WaitingToBeBroken never disappoints! Aziraphale needs help in getting his ex to leave his flat, Crowley wants to create chaos. This Human AU is hilarious and sweet, the dialogues and characterisation are great as usual and there is a little nonsensical spooky element that makes the story all the more intriguing!

I was so, so lucky that this wonderful fiction was my gift from the writer for FTH! I love it so much! It’s a sweet and tender high school human AU where Crowley and Aziraphale have a secret crush on each other. Neither of them thinks the other is interested until they have to learn to dance the Belgijka. They hold hands, they stare into each other’s eyes, and va-voom! This gift was a real treat to read and I’ll treasure it forever!

Sweet and funny, great characterisation and just a hint of deliciously BAMF Aziraphale, you know the kind: when just half a sentence he says in a certain way sends shivers through your spine.

High angst fiction but with elements of tenderness that pop up unexpectedly. Crowley is missing Aziraphale and decides to turn to Lucifer for comfort. The fic is narrated in Lucifer’s POV and does not have a Crowley and Aziraphale happy ending. It's beautiful, but please read the tags.

A Convoluted Conspiracy - A GOAD Writers Guild Word Of The Day Fic, by SazzyLJ. Rated T, 3K.

Incredibly funny post S2 fiction, told partly in Muriel’s, partly in Eric’s POV. The demon Eric is up to something, and Muriel is determined to find out what. I don’t want to spoil it, so I won't tell what the bottomline of this story is, and what I loved most about it, but it’s extremely dear to me and to my headcanon.

Oh, I loved this story, I truly did. So gentle, touching, and deep. Set at some point in the past, OC’s POV. OC helps a snake she finds in her garden that had been caught in some rope. The snake comes to visit her again, and an owl comes looking for the snake. I don’t want to spoil it and won’t say anything else, but please show some love to this gem of a fiction.

Demon Summoning Is More Fun With Friends, by little_mx_sunflower. Rated G, 7k. P. Mar 25.

Mostly told from an outsider’s POV, this story was so much fun to read. Crowley gets summoned, and Aziraphale goes with him. They have fun with the summoners. Light-hearted fic, but with a deep, unshakable sense of connection between our Ineffables, I loved it.

I am so blessed that my friend wrote this lovely, romantic and funny in-universe story for me! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love it! The humour is outstanding as always in Savyl’s stories, and their love and bravery are so heartwarming! Aziraphale and Crowley are relaxing in the bookshop. When they get too close for heaven and hell’s liking, Soho is hit by a thunderstorm.

Lovely through the ages in-universe fic set in 1871. Aziraphale is riding a sleigh in the West Siberian Plain when all of a sudden he comes across Crowley in need of a ride. A story of love, lust, temptation and endless pining, with the sweetest epilogue.

The Least Eligible Bachelor, by fellshish. Rated E, 37k. P. May 26.

In-universe canon divergent/pre-armageddon fic, full of humour, longing and incredibly hot sex scenes. Aziraphale takes part in a reality TV show where he’s a bachelor who has to be wooed by the contestants. The contestants are, of course, demons. There will be roses, there will be bananas, there will be snakes, there will be love. This fic gave me early-canon vibes, which I was and still am yearning, and I’m grateful for them. As usual, this author has the beautiful ability to make you laugh and cry in the same sentence, and feel all the emotions in-between. Highly recommended!

A Masquerade In Every Sense Of The Word, by The_Rogue_Bard. Rated G, 500 words. P. Oct 24.

Lovely and funny through the ages fic. Aziraphale is at a masquerade ball talking with Oscar Wilde. Or, is he? Sweet and short, featuring just-enough-of-a-bastard Aziraphale.

Knight Of Swords and Knight Of Swords (Reversed), by ireallyneedmoretea. Both rated G, 666 words each. P. Jun 26.

Lovely canon compliant fics inspired by the tarot card Knight of Swords, which, I learned in the author’s note, signifies a man or a woman on a mission. Set after the 537AD scene, these fics imagine what could have happened at the court of king Arthur and what happens next. Funny and sweet!

Funny and sweet pre canon story in which Crowley and Aziraphale exchange gifts and challenge each other to a duel on Christmas day. The humour is great as always with this writer, and the art is lovely!

This story is set in 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Aziraphale is sent to New Orleans to observe the humans, but he uses miracles to help them instead. As a punishment, Gabriel temporarily suspends his ability to perform miracles and instructs him to go back to London the human way. What do you know, our angel doesn’t need superpowers to make miracles, after all! Very sweet.

Abel and Cain from the point of view of the angel and the demon who were stationed on earth. This fic reminded me a lot of A Companion To Owls both in plot and tone and it was a pleasure to read.

Beautiful and heartbreaking through the ages fic. Aziraphale is taking part in a carnival party in Venice when he's approached by a man wearing a mask and a costume so that no part of him is at all visible. They start chatting and walk away from the main hall. The man reminds Aziraphale of Crowley, but he's not Crowley. But it could be. But it's not. But it could be. Oh, the longing in this fic! Argh!

Human AU written for the DIWS Maggie’s Record Shop event and inspired by the song The Bones Of You by Elbow. This is a lovely and tender story of second chances. Crowley and Aziraphale had been friends in their uni years, and then drifted apart for reasons you’ll find out. I love how the writer manages to write a satisfying growth for both characters in a relatively short fic. Nothing feels forced in this story, it flows beautifully!

And It Feels Like Home, by AngieWords. Rated E, 5k. P. Feb 26.

Human AU, sequel to So I’m There, also written for the DIWS Maggie’s Record Shop event, and inspired by Madonna’s Like A Prayer. Sweet, romantic and hot account of how Crowley and Aziraphale get to know each other again and learn to communicate after spending years apart.

You know when every now and then there’s a story, both in published fiction or in fanfiction, that you wish you hadn’t read so you could read it for the first time? This is one of those stories for me. This version of Crowley and Aziraphale touched me so, so deeply. I still think about them weeks after I read the fic. Compelling, emotional, deep, funny, touching. Human AU in which Aziraphale is born into a wealthy family and Crowley is born into a working class family. They were never meant to be together, but they come to an arrangement. Described by the author as A reverse-ish human AU where Ezra is an angel and Crowley is from the wrong side of town. 

I wish I could find the right words to make sure everyone gives this fiction a try so they can judge for themselves, but I can’t so just trust me, OK?

It does depict an unhealthy relationship, so do mind the tags, but please don’t be discouraged!

I'm SO glad I finally got to it! (Thank you Good Omens Fic Club on Discord!)

I loved it. 

Enemies to lovers, forced proximity human AU. Crowley is a rockstar in need of a lyricist. Enter erotica writer Aziraphale.

The humour throughout the story was a treat and more than once I got looks from my fellow commuters because I was giggling or snorting laughter. 

Crowley and Aziraphale's slow journey into introspection was very sweet to witness. 

I'm always partial to fictions that feature the Them and Warlock, and their characterisation here was spot on and really entertaining; I will love Hermiola's Warlock for life! 

This story was captivating, entertaining, sexy, incredibly funny, and made me want to read more whenever I had to put it down. Virtually no angst. A new classic!

Honestly, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this story. In my comment on the last chapter I said that it was like an unexpected day off at work: precious, exciting, comfortable, you know it will be over all too soon but it’s one of those gifts that make life happier. In this enemies (meh!) to friends (ha!) to lovers (yay!) Crowley and Aziraphale work as advice columnists for two rival newspapers in Tadfield. The newspapers are bought by the same media company and our two heroes find themselves co-hosting a podcast. How will they cope? Oh, they’ll cope very well indeed, let me tell you. This fiction is uplifting and funny, the banter is clever without ever feeling like they are overdoing it, and the Ineffables react to their feelings in an insecure, fragile, but all too relatable -and fairly realistic- way. It never feels like the writer is pushing it. It became instantly one of my all time favourites.

Delightful, cosy and romantic strangers to lovers human AU. Aziraphale stops off to spend the night at an inn in Tadfield on his way to his father's funeral. The next day they're snowed in. Guess who’s staying at the inn as well? 

Self affirmation, blossoming love, humour and great side characters, I loved this story!

Lovely and heartwarming strangers to lovers human AU. Aziraphale is a cabin crew member on a plane where Crowley is a passenger. Narrated from an adorably flustered Crowley’s POV, we get to witness his unfiltered thoughts in all their glory! For all of their insecurities, I love how well and clearly they actually communicate in this fiction!

I am so chuffed that this fantastic, fluffy and sexy post canon fic was written especially for me! Teal plays beautifully with the POVs, and the result is a mix between hilarious and heartwarming. Plus, Angel claims Demon, enough said. I thoroughly loved it!

Accursed Be The Tongue, by Panic_CelestialInk. Rated T, 20k. P. Mar 25.

Delightful, funny and touching fic, set in a post S2 happy future. After stopping the second coming, life goes on for Azirapahle and Crowley, until Crowley is cursed to only speak the truth, and only in Shakespearean quotes. The result is phenomenal! Old friends and unexpected guests make an appearance, the mood is light, the pining obvious to everyone but the two of them, this fic has all the vibes of a post s1 fic even if it was written well after S2. And the work the writer must have put into making them talk in Shakespeare quotes while keeping their conversations on point is outstanding! I loved it!

Aaaahhh, one of those lovely, light, invaluable post season 1 fics that we all need from time to time, just to cheer us up! Refreshing! Aziraphale wants to get to know Crowley better after the failed apocalypse, so he invites him over and tries to make him feel comfortable. I loved this story so much! So in line with the canon vibes, so in character, so fun. Absolutely fantastic.

Very sweet post canon story set in a safe future. Aziraphale and Crowley go to Nina and Maggie’s wedding and start discussing the merits (Aziraphale) and faults (Crowley) of this human ritual. Will they find common ground?

Hilarious outsider POV where an ordinary person walks into the bookshop, sees Crowley sleeping on the ceiling and comes to the only logical conclusion. Sweet and funny, great characterisation and just a hint of deliciously BAMF Aziraphale, you know the kind: when just half a sentence he says in a certain way sends shivers through your spine.

Bonus point: amazing art by oezalet.

Aziraphale’s Brief History Of Time, by NaturallyTeal. Rated M, 1.1k. P. Jul 25.

In a safe, happy future, Crowley and Aziraphale are enjoying the sun in their garden. Crowley teases Aziraphale asking what he would do differently if he could travel back in time. Aziraphale starts explaining why time travel is impossible. This story is sweet and so them. Their dynamics is so in character with the added bonus of them being free to be together.

Fashionably Late, by Savyl(Aerenii). Rated M, 3k. P. Oct 25.

Oh, the sweetness, charm and humour of this story! The author masterfully interweaves the tenderness and the gentle teasing of a loving established relationship with hilarity of an… unfortunate situation, entirely of Aziraphale’s own making. Post canon, safe future AU where Aziraphale wants him and Crowley to go to Nina’s fancy dress party, and he wants to go dressed as Crowley. As always with Savyl the characterisation is spot on and so are the lighthearted vibes. You read this story and think, yes, that’s how their relationship will look like once they are free.

The director, a Mr. Browne, might have a thing for Aziraphale. Luckily, our matchmaking duo might have just the right person for him.

Taking Some Pictures Or Something, by his_infinitevariety. Rated G, 2k. P. Nov 20.

Oh, the sweetness of this fiction! Post canon (written after season 1, but might very well be set after whatever will happen in season 3), Crowley gives Aziraphale his phone to take pictures while on a day out in the South Downs. Aziraphale discovers Instagram. They are so adorable and in love, and will make you smile so much!

Ineffable Prankster, by SpaceGiraffe. Rated G, 5k. P. Jul 24.

Written after S2 but set after S1, this adorable fiction is an account of how Crowley the menace gets the angel’s attention and -more importantly- why. Several pranks lead to fluff, confessions, and a new beginning.

One Perfect Day by PirateFanatic. Rated Teen, 4k. P. Oct 23.

Canon universe story where Crowley and Aziraphale are safe. In fact, they are about to go to a wedding. As Aziraphale dresses up, Crowley moans that he doesn't want to go, but Aziraphale doesn't give him a choice. And, in the words of the writer, with good reason.

Will You Ever Stop Surprising Me? by curiouspupsicle. Rated M, 1k. P. Aug 24.

This fiction is a little gem. Set in a hypothetical future after our heroes averted the apocalypse again, it focuses on Crowley wondering if he might ever get bored of life on earth with Aziraphale. and then spending the rest of the story trying to catch up with all the ways the angel still surprises him. In the words of the writer, this is a story about Aziraphale being sex-positive. But it's that and so much more. It's joyful, it's clever, it's funny. The characterisation is spot on. I would have loved to have more of these two in this fiction!

The Exponent Of Breath, by possibilityleft. Rated Teen, 8k. P. Oct 24.

This is another absolute gem that I loved so much this month! It shows us moments in time when Aziraphale and Crowley have attended weddings. It's a mix of past, future, better times, warm feelings and happiness. Deep and beautiful. Some fictions you can clearly put it into words why you liked them, and some just speak to you at a deeper level, they just touch something inside you, and this is one of those.

Masturbation (Doesn't Count As Sex, Surely?), by Hellsgardener. Rated E, 1k. P. Oct 24.

Very few fictions manage to convey such intense feelings of sweetness and hotness alike in such a short tale as this one! Aziraphale asks Crowley if he's ever had sex and reminisces about his own solo experiences.

The Angel Tree by GoodInspirationsAD, rated T, 8k. P. Dec 24.

Post season 2 fiction with a lovely happy ending. Aziraphale is in heaven and Crowley, as heartbroken as he is, replaces him in making sure the London Hospital Angel Tree initiative has presents for all the patients. Meanwhile, Aziraphale worries that, with him in heaven, some patients will be left with no gifts, so he has to go down to earth and fulfill the patients’ wishes. Hurt, comfort, communication, intimacy, South Down cottage, AND Christmas all in one fiction, what more do you want?

I loved the vibes of this fic so much! It's sweet and lovely, with great characterisation. The loving banter and the clear affection between our Ineffables paint a heartwarming picture of how things could be once they are safe from heaven and hell.

It's the year 2030. The world never ended. Aziraphale and Crowley are living happily and safely together as a married couple. He seeks the advice of his girlfriends, who unwittingly give him an idea on how to liven up his marriage. A fluffy and hopefully funny way to the South Downs cottage.

Get ready for an incredibly hot piece! This is a delicious post-canon, established relationship fiction, full of sexiness, tenderness, love and mutual trust. The writer does an excellent job at weaving humour and banter with the heat of the scene and the characterisation is great!

Have your fan ready for this incredibly hot post-canon fiction! Male presenting Aziraphale and female presenting Crowley go on a plane. Crowley is feeling rather horny. The fact that the fiction is told in Aziraphale’s POV makes for some hilarious lines in the middle of all the heat. And yet, the thing I loved the most about this fic is the unquestionable love between our two Ineffables! Fantastic fic!

Well Earned Rewards, by Savyl. Rated M, 2k. P. Jul 25.

I am always in awe of the humour in this author’s stories and this one doesn’t disappoint! Post-canon, established relationship fic. Aziraphale asks Crowley to help get people to Nina’s coffee shop stand at a festival and promises rewards to motivate him. Challenge accepted, Crowley naturally behaves like a 4 year old (and we love him for that!). This fic is just so full of love: their interactions, their banter, their everything screams love! It’s the husbands at their husband-est!

I am so blessed that my friend wrote this lovely, romantic and funny in-universe story for me! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love it! The humour is outstanding as always in Savyl’s stories, and their love and bravery are so heartwarming! Aziraphale and Crowley are relaxing in the bookshop. When they get too close for heaven and hell’s liking, Soho is hit by a thunderstorm.

Lovely through the ages in-universe fic set in 1871. Aziraphale is riding a sleigh in the West Siberian Plain when all of a sudden he comes across Crowley in need of a ride. A story of love, lust, temptation and endless pining, with the sweetest epilogue.

The Least Eligible Bachelor, by fellshish. Rated E, 37k. P. May 26.

In-universe canon divergent/pre-armageddon fic, full of humour, longing and incredibly hot sex scenes. Aziraphale takes part in a reality TV show where he’s a bachelor who has to be wooed by the contestants. The contestants are, of course, demons. There will be roses, there will be bananas, there will be snakes, there will be love. This fic gave me early-canon vibes, which I was and still am yearning, and I’m grateful for them. As usual, this author has the beautiful ability to make you laugh and cry in the same sentence, and feel all the emotions in-between. Highly recommended!

A Masquerade In Every Sense Of The Word, by The_Rogue_Bard. Rated G, 500 words. P. Oct 24.

Lovely and funny through the ages fic. Aziraphale is at a masquerade ball talking with Oscar Wilde. Or, is he? Sweet and short, featuring just-enough-of-a-bastard Aziraphale.

Knight Of Swords and Knight Of Swords (Reversed), by ireallyneedmoretea. Both rated G, 666 words each. P. Jun 26.

Lovely canon compliant fics inspired by the tarot card Knight of Swords, which, I learned in the author’s note, signifies a man or a woman on a mission. Set after the 537AD scene, these fics imagine what could have happened at the court of king Arthur and what happens next. Funny and sweet!

The Weather Outside Is Frightful, by IneffableMoot, Savil. Rated T, 5k. P. Dec 25.

Funny and sweet pre canon story in which Crowley and Aziraphale exchange gifts and challenge each other to a duel on Christmas day. The humour is great as always with this writer, and the art is lovely! 

Miracles On The No 34 Bus, by CuriousPupsicle. Rated G, 6k. P. Nov 25.

This story is set in 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Aziraphale is sent to New Orleans to observe the humans, but he uses miracles to help them instead. As a punishment, Gabriel temporarily suspends his ability to perform miracles and instructs him to go back to London the human way. What do you know, our angel doesn’t need superpowers to make miracles, after all! Very sweet.

Abel and Cain from the point of view of the angel and the demon who were stationed on earth. This fic reminded me a lot of A Companion To Owls both in plot and tone and it was a pleasure to read.

Beautiful and heartbreaking through the ages fic. Aziraphale is taking part in a carnival party in Venice when he's approached by a man wearing a mask and a costume so that no part of him is at all visible. They start chatting and walk away from the main hall. The man reminds Aziraphale of Crowley, but he's not Crowley. But it could be. But it's not. But it could be. Oh, the longing in this fic! Argh!

Human Bonding Rituals As Emulated By An Ethereal/Occult Dyad, by graywings. Rated T, 1,2k. P. Sep 25.

Hilarious crack fic! It is narrated in the form of a study by God, Almighty; Christ, Jesus; Spirit, Holy on whether Aziraphale and Crowley are displaying human-like courting behaviour during their meeting in 1793. I laughed from the first word to the last, including the notes!

Aziraphale assumes that Crowley shouts at his customers, and Crowley assumes that ‘& Co’ is preventing Aziraphale from enjoying the Christmas spirit. Luckily, he has a plan. Lovely human AU with some very touching moments! A story about being brave and going for the things you want. Angst free, lighthearted, solid and funny (whatever the writer might say). And with wonderful art by Maon25.

This human AU is just so, so gorgeous! The humour, the banter, the wholesomeness, their vulnerabilities, their bravery! Awesome! And all the Shakespeare puns! Aziraphale has recently moved into town and goes to buy a Christmas tree. Guess who sells Christmas trees? This fic is incredibly funny and has very light-hearted parts, however it gets intense at some point, do read the tags.

Written for the Winter Omens Big Bang and very (I mean, VERY) loosely based on the Gilmore Girls episode the Bracebridge Dinner, this is my first enemies to lovers human AU where sunny Aziraphale owns an Inn and grumpy Crowley owns a cafe. I had so much fun writing the banter and the humour in this story and I’m always proud when I manage to pull off an just-enough-of-a-bastard Aziraphale in an AU setting! Working with Hogs was a real treat and her art will take your breath away!

Fantastic, compelling, gripping murder mystery human AU! Sequel to my beloved The Trouble With HELL (it can be read on its own, but why on earth would you want to miss out on TTWH?) Aziraphale and Crowley are true crime podcasters and investigators. This story is such a joy to read! The humour, the banter and the horniness are off the charts! The characterisation is spot on! The suspense is thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat! Like I said in one of my comments, Agatha is smiling up at you from down there, Beer!

I love it so much, I can’t recommend it enough!

I cried. There, I said it. I mean, it's not that it's angsty (maybe for some the first chapter might be angsty, though), it's just that it's so, so touching. It's a human AU where Crowley and Aziraphale were school friends until Crowley moved to Scotland. One Christmas Aziraphale is at his parents’ house and gets a letter addressed to him. Beautiful.

The Christmas Wedding Scammer, by Aracloptia. Rated T, 35k. P. Dec 22.

Human AU where Crowley is an unemployed florist whose name is very similar to the incredibly famous and successful retired wedding planner Antonio Cowley. Anathema and Newton are planning their wedding and Aziraphale is the maid of honour. Oh, and Gabriel is the priest celebrating the wedding. I loved the humour in this fiction and the way it captures the characters' personalities. Absolutely delightful.

Ah. Where to begin. Every now and then, you read a fiction that just makes you feel at home. Makes you feel like you’re in safe hands. Like you’re in for a real treat. This absolute gem has very quickly become my favourite human AU. For several reasons.  The characterisation of the two main characters is absolutely spot on. I could hear Crowley talking in DT’s Crowley voice and see him moving in DT’s Crowley way, and I could hear Aziraphale talking in MS’s Aziraphale voice and see him moving in MS’s Aziraphale way. The pace of the development of their relationship from enemies to lovers is just perfect. It’s told from Crowley’s POV and you can see how his perspective changes as the story progresses, but the writer is so good that Aziraphale’s change of perspective shows perfectly through Crowley’s POV too. The array of side characters is so good that it actually pains me to call them side characters. I wrote in one of my comments to the fiction that I will forever adore this story’s Bee, and I meant it, but Newt and Ana are equally fantastic (and I loved the other cameos too!). Also, and this is especially important to me, this story is as much a love story between Crowley and Aziraphale as it is a story of true friendship among all the characters. They look after each other, they have each other’s back, they support each other. I am so lucky and privileged to be able to see myself represented in that aspect of the story. Last but not least, this fiction doesn't overstay its welcome one bit. You are happy about how everyone ended up, but still could read more. It’s like you are part of the gang and want to know what your friends are up to. Everything in this story was perfect. I realise I haven’t mentioned what the plot is about, but hopefully by now you might want to find out for yourself!

I read this fic well before I started putting down my thoughts about the stories I read, so it’s difficult over a year later to put into words how much I loved it, but I did!

The vibes of this story are exactly what I’m after when reading fanfiction. That warm, cosy feeling that you’re cared for, that nothing bad can happen to you while you’re lost in the fic, that someone will wrap you up in a warm blanket and your hot chocolate will never get cold. Strangers to lovers human AU where Crowley wants to prank the operator of a sex line, but ends up calling a help line for queer people. No angst, all smiles and warm fuzzies. No fear, only happiness. I loved this so, so much!

Delightful and funny strangers to lovers human AU. Crowley parks his ice cream van in front of Aziraphale’s bookshop. Flirt-bickering ensues. Great humour and creative banter. I loved Aziraphale’s inner thoughts!

Adorable outsider POV human AU. Andy is half asleep when she gets on her 8am bus on a Saturday. She just wants to run her errands and then go back to bed. She certainly doesn’t mean to eavesdrop on the conversation between the two people sitting a few rows behind her. If only they weren’t such a cute couple, it would be much easier to just focus on the trees outside. Great humour and characterisation as we have come to expect from this wonderful writer!

Aziraphale and Crowley meet on a plane, but after his holiday, Aziraphale will have to go back to London. Banter, fluff, a little bit of angst and a happy ending. I really hope I managed to do Rovaniemi justice, even though I’ve never been there! I absolutely want to go and visit it now, and hopefully so will you!

This fic is incredibly funny and has very light-hearted parts, however it gets intense at some point, do read the tags!

Fantastic strangers to lovers human AU! Aziraphale and Crowley start exchanging messages in the margins (or rather, on the bookmarks left in) of the books at the London Library. Each of them is intrigued and captivated by the stranger who matches him in wit, literary knowledge, and humour. Will they find the courage to meet in person?

Oh, I LOVED this story! Great characterisation and humour, all the warm, fuzzy feelings, self discovery, some vulnerability, but no angst at all. Such a comfort read!

Lovely human AU where Aziraphale buys a cottage in a village. The cottage is lovely, but the garden needs tending to. Yes, you guessed who the lucky gardener is. This story had great characterisation and interactions. Crowley and Aziraphale’s insecurities are credible and relatable and the way they overcome them very convincing. I loved it!

Human AU where Crowley, recently divorced, and Aziraphale meet at a metal concert. Crowley taking his vulnerability seriously is very cute and Aziraphale being self confident and caring is, as always, lovely.

Aziraphale runs a matchmaking agency for queer professionals, and he's very successful at his job. Crowley has come to accept that he might need help to find a lifelong partner; unfortunately there seems to be something quite wrong with all three candidates Aziraphale introduces him to. Zero angst, this fic is heartwarming and adorable.

Human AU rated M for Misunderstandings and Miscommunication (yeah, ok, and mature). Crowley agrees to go on a blind date with Aziraphale, but he doesn't really do dates. He tells as much to Aziraphale and leav... lea... leeeeeeavmmm... All right, stays, OK? I started off lighthearted, added a pinch of angst, skipped the smut, clumsily attempted some humour, and landed safely on fluff. These are literally the five themes of the five chapters.

Human AU where Crowley works at an escape room company. Aziraphale has always wanted to try escape rooms and finally does. You will have to read it to know the rest but this was such a lovely story, very low angst and a happy ending. I believed I did squeal in excitement at the nod to the whovians in the Roman room chapter.

I love Crowley's quiet and relatable vulnerability in this story, and I absolutely love Aziraphale’s mask of confidence shining through Crowley's POV.

The gentle jokes, teasing and feelings: all felt very well balanced, but not less emotional because of it. A classic.

Morning After Nights Before, by Majnoona. Rated M, 15K. P. Jul 25.

Oh, but the gentleness of this human AU is something else! Two lonely souls who come upon each other and, thank someone, won’t let go. Each of them has got his vulnerabilities and it’s heartwarming to see how they start to trust each other. I love how they encourage each other to be their true self, to reach for what they really want, to heal and be healed. Really great story!

The rock climbing human AU I didn’t know I needed! Aziraphale tries out rock climbing. Crowley is a rock climbing instructor. Aziraphale turns out to be too good a climber for Crowley’s liking. Tantrums, fits, sweetness, flirting and pining ensue. Lovely fic, highly recommended if you need a story to cheer you up!

When I saw that this fiction had been selected to be read as our fic of the week in our Fiction Club discord server, I thought Yay! Warlock fiction! It's not a Warlock fiction! Well, not in the way I expected! What this human AU is is a hilarious strangers to lovers where Aziraphale works at a museum and Crowley is an adorable disaster. Oh, and he also has a swan… er… goose… well, large bird he needs to look after until he can give it to his aunt. Inspired by the film Bringing Up Baby, you can enjoy the fic without having watched the film.

Delightful, cosy and romantic strangers to lovers human AU. Aziraphale stops off to spend the night at an inn in Tadfield on his way to his father's funeral. The next day they're snowed in. Guess who’s staying at the inn as well? 

Self affirmation, blossoming love, humour and great side characters, I loved this story!

Lovely and heartwarming strangers to lovers human AU. Aziraphale is a cabin crew member on a plane where Crowley is a passenger. Narrated from an adorably flustered Crowley’s POV, we get to witness his unfiltered thoughts in all their glory! For all of their insecurities, I love how well and clearly they actually communicate in this fiction!

Oh, I loved this story so much! Human AU that starts with a fantastically self confident ace, cage dancer Aziraphale and a fairly cynical Crowley who goes home with a different woman every week. This is the story of Crowley's journey and is told in his POV; its companion, Wanting You… Is New (which I haven't read yet, but will soon) will tell you Aziraphale's POV. I loved every minute and every aspect of this story: Aziraphale's joy, Crowley’s self discovery, a touch of angst, and the two of them working hard on themselves because being with the other is what matters most. A special mention goes to Bea, whom I thoroughly adored!

The point of this is to help people get any feelings about the show, or its creators or fanbase out into the open to process any grief or love, or other feelings you may have about Good Omens. This is a judgement-free space and anyone harassing others or spreading any sort of hate or interpersonal drama will be blocked.

Who doesn't love a spooky story?

What an absolute gem this fiction is! AU where Aziraphale is a human and Crowley is a ghost and where everyone is so amazingly in character! They love each other, your honour, even when their love seems utterly impossible, just like in canon they will  find a way. In my comment on Ao3 I said that I loved the (just a little bit bitter-)sweet ending, but actually, scrap that. The ending is just sweet, full stop. Love breaks every barrier. Loved it! With beautiful art.

Beautiful, bittersweet story based on the film All Of Us Strangers. Aziraphale moves into a newly renovated block of flats. There never seems to be anyone around until he spots Crowley. The eerie atmosphere of this fic is so masterfully crafted and the prose so poetic, you will be hooked from the start!

Trigger warning: I asked the writer permission to mention that I feel that, at the time of writing this, there is an important tag missing. I don’t want to spoil the fic, but please read between the tags, and if you haven’t seen the film All Of Us Strangers, you might consider familiarising yourself with the plot before reading this wonderful story.

Very romantic vampire AU story that will subvert your expectations. This delicate fic deals with loneliness and with paying the price of finding a soulmate. I love how eager and yet tender both Crowley and Aziraphale are. Very sweet happy ending!

Lovely, spooky and very surreal fiction: for a moment there I thought I had stumbled into a Samuel Beckett’s play. Human AU-ish where our favourite Ineffables find each other, like in every universe. Tender and hot.

Crowley moves into his new flat in Soho, only to discover the flat is haunted by the ghost of the owner of the bookshop downstairs. I won't tell anything else about the plot other than it does have a very sweet happy ending, and it gets there via a rollercoaster of emotions. This is really one of those fictions that leave me in awe of the fandom's talent and creativity. Read it, read it, read it!

Such an intriguing ghost story! Spooky and sweet in equal measure. Human AU in which friends Aziraphale and Crowley are vloggers dealing with paranormal phenomena. On their way to Tadfield they find themselves stuck alone in a cottage belonging to an old lady and her niece. Even skeptic Crowley has to eventually concede that the cottage is haunted. Obliviousness in action, this fic was lovely!

What an absolute gem this fiction is! AU where Aziraphale is a human and Crowley is a ghost and where everyone is so amazingly in character! They love each other, your honour, even when their love seems utterly impossible, just like in canon they will  find a way. In my comment on Ao3 I said that I loved the (just a little bit bitter-)sweet ending, but actually, scrap that. The ending is just sweet, full stop. Love breaks every barrier. Loved it! With beautiful art.

Beautiful, bittersweet story based on the film All Of Us Strangers. Aziraphale moves into a newly renovated block of flats. There never seems to be anyone around until he spots Crowley. The eerie atmosphere of this fic is so masterfully crafted and the prose so poetic, you will be hooked from the start!

Trigger warning: I asked the writer permission to mention that I feel that, at the time of writing this, there is an important tag missing. I don’t want to spoil the fic, but please read between the tags, and if you haven’t seen the film All Of Us Strangers, you might consider familiarising yourself with the plot before reading this wonderful story.

Very romantic vampire AU story that will subvert your expectations. This delicate fic deals with loneliness and with paying the price of finding a soulmate. I love how eager and yet tender both Crowley and Aziraphale are. Very sweet happy ending!
