Mini series- part 1.

A/N: wrote this on an impulse at 1am, so I’m sorry if it sucks.

You and Bakugou had been friends since you were kids and Though you hadn’t seen him in a couple of months, due to him being busy with his pro hero work. You knew he was always there whenever you needed him. So when you show up at his doorstep with a tear stained face from all the ugly crying you’d done on the way over, he’s more than just surprised. He pulls you inside without a word and you’re met with and confused to see 4 other people there. You hiccup an apology telling him you’d come back at a different time, but he hushes you and ushers you to sit on the couch where you’re surrounded by 4 very intimidating heroes.

“It’s okay y/n these are my friends from UA” “it’s nice to meet you” you mumble, it’s obvious you just ruined the mood of the fun night they must’ve been having. “Katsuki-kun can we-“ you gesture towards his room and once he nods you walk over. He doesn’t follow you just yet, just looks to his friends and says, “if we’re not out in the next 5 minutes, leave” and then walks to meet you in the room. Your face is full of shame, sitting uncomfortably upright on his bed, “I don’t want to interrupt your night, I can just go and come back tomorrow” “No idiot you’re gonna stay here with me tonight” “look I’m tired so maybe I’ll just crash in here and you can go have fun with your friends” but Katsuki sees the look in your eyes, he knows better than to leave you alone in this state. “What happened tonight ?” Three words, three words was all it took for you to break down once again. Your chest tightens, and the air in your lungs catches in your throat as you let out a pained choked sob. Your eyes glaze over and you start to cry. Your cry is loud and desperate to be heard. Once you start to release body trembling sobs, you go into a panic and you can’t catch your breath, you begin gasping for air while you sob. You’re trying to tell Him what happened but all that’s leaving your mouth is ‘I’ and ‘he’ and ‘lied’. Katsuki hugs you tight against him just as your knees give out, dropping your deadweight into his strong arms.

With the way you were crying the 4 heroes, assumed someone had died, and in a way someone had died, your spirit, your will to love, you. The remaining contents of your heart can be heard cracking through the heart wrenching cries that leave your mouth. Katsuki cradles you in one arm softly rocking you back and forth as he’s done for you many times before. His red eyes are filled with worry, he’s seen you cry plenty of times but never like this. This is the kind of cry he heard only from those he’s saved or from families of those who hadn’t been saved. The cry that’s reserved for only the most intense of pains, and it breaks his heart to hear you cry this way. He wonders, what could possibly have happened to make you feel this way? And at that thought his body tenses as anger fills his veins, wanting nothing more than to crush whatever it was that hurt you so badly. He tries to remain calm and comfort you, and thankfully after a while your cries calm down. You’re able to speak now but only the phrase “I’m sorry I lied” is falling from your mouth. It begins to sound like a chant, all you can say in the steady rhythm katsuki rocks you in.

author notes. this is based off the song “if you love her” by forest blakk, i heard it and then just wanted to write about it, have some of my tsumu angst <3 let me know what you guys think!

Atsumu has never grinned this hard, or at least, he doesn’t remember even if he did.

Everytime someone asks him something about you, he can’t help but grin like an idiot. It’s almost a reflex at this point. The moment he hears your name, it lightens up his mood a little. You’re like a foolproof path to happiness. He feels in his pocket for the familiar shape of a bead bracelet — the one you entrusted to him.

It was something he did often — touch it, feel it, just to feel like you aren’t that far away from him after all. It was your grandmother’s, she gave it to you when she passed, when you were just a kid, and you loved her to bits. You love your family the most, and most of all her, so Atsumu would always keep it safe for you.

“For the only guy who’s good enough to have my whole heart,” you had said.

He hears the question being repeated to him again.

“You got anything else you wanna brag to me about her?”

The blonde man, current setter for the MSBY Black Jackals, shrugs, trying to play it off coolly, but knowing he’ll fail.

He always does.

“She loves corny pop love songs, ya know,” he mumbles through a mouth full of rice, stuffing another mouthful before continuing, “but she looks so silly when she’s dancing to them. Trust me, no one can take their eyes off of her when she does. Plus, she cries so easily to those bad romcom shows, it’s so entertaining.”
