this is a request for the og hades from greek mythology for ophelia (aka persephone). hades is a businessman who owns quite a bit of the underbelly along with some other things. hades himself is pretty open-ended, especially in terms of face/age/etc. i have some species ideas for him, but i’ll be holding off on that for now.
• full disclosure, the romantic feelings between hades and ophelia are completely one-sided. hades fell in love with ophelia after meeting on a few occasions, and instead of taking no as an answer, he tricked her into giving him her soul—so, basically, hades owns her.
• ophelia’s feelings towards hades are incredibly complex! she’s an incredibly loving and understanding person, and despite the fact that he tricked her and owns her, she still loves him. it’s not a romanic love by any means, but she desperately wants to help him heal over whatever issues he clearly has.
• hades is incredibly protective and possessive over ophelia, but he also still wants to make her happy! i imagine he showers her with gifts and does anything he can—within reason—to make her eternal stay in the underbelly as comfortable as he can. (i also like to think he lets her leave the underbelly on rare occasions, like festivals and holidays!! it’s actually kinda cute!!!)
• like i said, hades essentially owns the underbelly. he has a lot of investments in businesses and real estate down there and has his hand in everything that goes on. he’s got a lot of power and influence down there—and probably more enemies than he can name.
• i’m not exactly sure where i’d like their relationship to end up, but i will be requesting a love interest for ophelia that will absolutely complicate things between these two.
• also! i’m super open to spitball other ideas/change up some stuff!! i’m usually pretty relaxed with my requests and honestly i just want some angst in my life!!!
