OPTIMUS: Great Dane because I LUV THEM faults on Scooby Doo lol COFFISAID. He was retrieved from an abandoned house about to be demolished! Looks like the family needed to move from the city but couldn't afford anymore for the big dog (a breed that requires a certain level of maintenance and space). Still, OP keeps being cheerful and welcoming to everyone.

BULKHEAD: ... if you have seen the short animated film "Kitbull" you can guess why Bulky has so many scars around his body and snout. He and all his surviving brothers were put in rehabilitation and even found families quickly! Except for Bulky, who was still feared just for being bigger than the rest, so Sari kept him. He's a nervous sweetums, but a sweetums in the end.

BEE: Was found after a strong stormy night, in an alley between wet cardboard boxes... and what looked like his litter, dead cold. Bee was the only survivor. Because he was rescued from such a young age, the other dogs aided Sari in taking care of the kitten, so Bee was raised with the mindset and energy of a dog!

RATCHET; He was originally the first to be rescued by the Fur Family. Because of his age and trauma, Ratch took more time to warm up to everyone, but still, when he wants, he jumps into action without hesitation. Ratchet was taken away from a man who exploited the dog's strength by making Ratchet pull sleds with a significant amount of weight as part of a show that labeled him as "The Strongest Dog in the World" at typical traveling fairs of oddities.

JAZZ; He and many ferrets were retrieved from a smuggler who wanted to sell them to make fur coats. Even if he looks cheerful, he is the first to keep an eye on Sari and the Fur Family, hiding in Sari's backpack and hoarding useful items for emergencies in it.

Yeah... that was heavy to write. Go drink some water coff.

Then, what about Prowl and Lockdown? Aside from that, lowkey I always find excuses to put those two together COFF, actually, the addition of Prowl in the Fur Family is the main conflict of this story:

Black cats, especially during October, endure a lot of stigma because of their fur color, to the point that many shelters note how hard it is to find families that want to adopt them. For that reason, and with the shelter about to go bankrupt, Prowl became a kitty difficult to locate (he was distrustful from spending so much time alone, too). This changed the moment Sari came to rescue him! (Imagine something similar to Nausicaa's first meeting with the squirrel-fox, Teto).

... Now, like any other cat that had been isolated for too long, even if given all commodities, Prowl wasn't sure this new life was for him. And like in the TFA series (and what I learned from raising rescued cats almost all my life), Prowl tried to escape now and then from Sari's house.

In one of his successful escapades, he bumps into Lockdown's path, a stray cat that was similar to him, who distrusted humans as a result of being used as a test animal in a healthcare lab (his thick fur was perfect for such).

And of course, Lockers will take advantage of Prowl's doubts to make him an ally and choose to live like him as a street-wise cat (and a thief of many local butcher shops pfff).

But don't worry! The Fur Family and Sari will take this problem in both hands and paws! After all, Prowler is family, and once family, they seek and protect each other.

BTW a note for this modernization of Bulkhead and Prowl: aside from Bulkhead's body damage looking more credible now, I gave him that missing part of his nose as an homage to a similar damage my sister's female poodle has! I'm not a very dog person, but after my sis left me in charge of the poodle (called Bonita), I found that trait never took away her natural beauty 💕

And like I said, this overall setting is to talk about animals being animals trying to survive the mistreatment of some humans, and how we can have a better quality time by being responsible for our pets and other animals, respecting their existence and nature.

Soundwave is a Human here too! He's now an older stepbrother for Sari 💖 And of course, aids her in her Rescuing Missions 🎉
