Zeroka is actually a Vo-Skakdi! Mostly so I can make jokes about how her dads are the "ground" for her electric charge (eyyyy).

She is a little chaos gremlin who is SO curious about the world around her, and she often expresses that curiosity like sharks do (Translation: She bites. A lot). The habit is pretty common in skakdi hatchlings, since it acts as both a teething thing and a way to strengthen their bite force.

As Zeroka gets older she gains a new habit, going exploring/hunting, and it stresses her dads out to no end. Both because she tends to wander off alone, and due to their lifestyle of being on-the-run criminals, they've got a lot of enemies to worry about. Sure, a Toa wouldn't hurt a hatchling, but there's no telling what a Dark Hunter might do. She does eventually understand the concept of stranger danger through their coaching.

Her dads love her to death though, and spoil her rotten. Reidak teaches her how to fight, Avak makes a weapon for her when she gets old enough to access her powers, and they both teach her their respective ways of lying and manipulation.

Also, through misunderstandings while they were growing up (Avak having a thag and Reidak being that much bigger than his siblings), they both received what I like to call the "what every skakdi needs to know about being a warchief" speech, which is supposed to be reserved for ladies only. So they plan on imparting that knowledge onto her once she becomes of-age for it. They received different versions of said speech, so it'll be an interesting day lol.

Kiddos too are always super into sensory play x) I can see skakdlings hoarding their favorite type of rock or rahi bones because of the texture and sounds those make when being chewed down! But the teething factor is super logical, I'm saving that on my HC notes too!

… yeah, it's for the better Avak starts to make his items "bite-proofed" dkfhsdjh TBH, Zeroka got THE BEST dads among the bunch of bastards on the team. I'm hyped to see more of your explorations as Zeroka matures. She will be such a FIERCE being! (And the idea of her surpassing even Reidak's height and power is hilarious in my mind).

DUDE, I think I said it already? I will say it again: I love A TON the worldbuilding you "rebuilt" around the breadcrumbs of information sprinkled in canon! I was thinking the same: female skakdi, even if seeing has competence by their male peers, I'm sure they are still "respected" in their own twisted way (Vezok's speech is something I always carry in my memory bank, yes). I like that idea of skakdi ALWAYS having trouble telling apart their males from their females LMAOOO happens in a bunch of animals irl as a form of competition and to force individuals to be selective when approaching each other.

Anyway, I carried away but know that I'M ALL FOR THIS MISCHIEVOUS BABYYYYY 🎉🎉🎉 About my "homework", just a simple doodle I was holding to the past days: Loriak (OC) wouldn't be exactly a "stranger danger"… but she has the equivalent of a golden retriever mentality, not the type of influence you want for a fresh raised kiddo LMAO

I named her Zeroka and immediately got far too attached.

She is now my pride and joy, so here she is in Skakdi glory.

But please don't apologize, the commentary and silly head canons feed my soul... and often times I get super excited and I'm like CANON CANON THIS THING YOU SAID IS CANON NOW AAAARRGHHHH (It sounds like shrieking, but tis shrieking of the joyous variety 💫 mmyes)

Oh OH MY GOSH. I’VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR SOMEONE TO ASK ME ABOUT IT.🤩 Okay, so this is actually my original Transformers Series! (My dream is to make an animated pilot for it and get it produced!) It based on 80s/90s mecha animes, world mythology, and retro futurism! (It also has some cross factional romance.😂) It’s hard for me to share much, since the WIP is either all over the place or nonexistent. LMAO.

Basically it’s this.

Rodimus, his siblings Arcee and Bumblebee, and their friend Springer, wind up on Earth. After being launched from the Ark as it crash landed, and was taken down by the Nemesis. Rodimus was tasked with protecting the Matrix and keeping it out of Decepticon hands. Unfortunately, Megatron knows of their plan, and sends some of his best warriors after Rodimus, so he can destroy him and the Matrix’s power, turning the tide of the war. The Warriors chosen? Starscream and his siblings, Thundercracker and Skywarp. Along with their cousin Slipstream. Starscream thinks it will be an easy chase, but Rodimus is craftier than he anticipated. He won’t be taken down without a fight. Especially after discovering he has the rare power to control and use the Matrix. The two Warriors are in for an adventure of a lifetime. And no one can predict how it ends.

That’s the basic jist of episode one. There’s… SOOOOOOO MUCH DEEP LORE. LIKE, I CAN’T EVEN LIST IT ALL. I have LITERALLY three seasons worth of lore. AT LEAST. As well as some episode summaries. It includes a Starscream redemption arc, plot filler Earth antics, discovering dark Cybertronian history, classic myth symbolism, the evil space god Unicron, MAGIC, lots of StarRod, and HELLA LOT OF ANGST.🤣 I really don’t know where to start. So if you want to know more about specific characters, feel free to ask!😁 (I highly recommend asking about Starscream, or the other seekers. ike you said, the best approach is always to open a Doc and list everything you've got floating in your brain. I find the worst you can do is wait to have motivation to draw X character or scene: go for the jugular, Inky x'D ATTACK IT IN WHATEVER WAY ☄️. The overwhelming feelings are usually related to having been holding onto something nebulous instead of having something tangible to read and edit properly without feeling it's never reaching the goal. Art is a SLOW process and requires you to make mistakes, try new things, until it feels right. There's no other way.

The rest will simmer, making it easier for you to connect the dots. Keep it simple stupid.

TBH If you are up to it, I wanna know more about this "Elite Trine" you got! Like, I noticed you call them "siblings" and there's Slipstream as "cousin". Are you using a similar "hierarchy" of family ties like in your AU for Predacon Prowl?

Btw, what type of "Retrofuturism" are you referring to? Because there's A TON. Its practically more of an umbrella term that encompasses things like Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Atompunk, etc. I will give you a few examples of "retrofuturism" visuals so you take in account when you are working on refining the characters for the AU! Even the whole Earth setting will need it to be clear for everything else to fall in place.

Yep! There’s actually quite a few ships present! Starscream and Rodimus are the stars tho. They will have a very happy ending. Even if it means going through hell and back to achieve it.❤️‍🔥 I must gather my notes, so I can ramble about them sometime. lol. They have a surprising amount of things in common! Also, Starscream’s backstory is absolutely heart wrenching and may make you cry.😅

Oh yes! Don’t worry! I have plenty written down. Including screenshots from my Discord chats about it. (I scream about this series to my friend Portal sometimes. Alalskdjfnnfnfnfnfndm) I do need to organize it a bit better though. It’s a mess and some is completely unshareable because of it. LMAO.

Oh also, Slipstream’s relation to them is still very much up in the air. I’ve also considered making her a sister. So we’ll see where that goes.

SORRY, IDK IF IS OBVIOUS but there's barely any content of the yellow minicon on my space x'D The canon is so saturated of him for me I prefer to give room to other more sideline characters. Not that he can't be written well, because it can! I LOVE Earthspark's take on him 💛 (And I'm surprised about what you said about them, seen as siblings! In canon I know Bee is usually more tied to Cliffjumper because of sharing alt mode mmmm curious).

How that quote goes? "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic", so why not these alien robots (emphasizing in ALIEN, many usually forget that too) could have found a way to access such power? Hella rad, HELLA HYPED for all you said!

AND NOW IT MAKES SENSE why I have seen you reblog works from Mr Mead before!!! He's an amazing reference actually, with how he manages to create a very immersive world with those perspectives and colors. Technically falls on the Retrofuturism umbrella, tho his more well-known big works were for cyberpunk settings… or "vintage" futurism in the case of Star Wars. He mastered a way to make things look both NEW and OLD, which is unique! Still, our Earth could have taken so many forms depending on how much you wish the technology impacted their present x) Blade Runner is very decadent even if futuristic, while Tron is so technologically advanced to the point of abstraction. The setting will tell everything the viewer needs to know even before knowing what's going on (it will even affect the Cybertronian's alt modes, take that into account!).
