You know what always bothered me? That people tend to infantilize TFA Bumblebee but leave other bots from his own generation like Ironhide, Wasp and Bulkhead out of such treatment.
Like, if you’re going to treat Bee like that then you should at least do the same to Wasp? The one who is mentioned to be from the same batch as him? The one who was tortured and manipulated?
Yes, Wasp was an asshole to Bee but genuinely didn’t deserve to have his mind broken like that and to be brutally experimented on.
People really tend to forget about him when he needs a role model the most!
Or Bulkhead! They went to Boot camp together! They must be around the same age at least!
I love Bulkhead yet there’s so little content of Sparkling Bulkhead. That feeling when one of your favs doesn’t have cute content as much as others 😞
It would also be interesting to see fics or content of Longarm being treated like a young bot by everyone around him (Shockwave dies on the inside every time someone calls him “little one”)
It really just shows that the fandom loves to exclusively treat TFA Bee like that
I actually never even thought about how technically Ironhide is the same age as Bee. Thank you for bringing that up! I also wish we had some cute sparkling Bulkhead stuff. Like imagine Bulk getting turned into a sparkling and hes just a cute fat lil baby that Optimus just falls in love with. (Also, I like to headcanon that next to Ratchet, Bulkhead is Optimus's favorite team member)
