the only emo band from the mid 2000s that has stayed relevant and continued to release consistently good music all while never losing the central feeling and tone of their earlier stuff that made it so good despite genre changes or rotating members or interpersonal struggles is PARAMORE...... and that’s a conversation no one on here is ready for

like fall out boy went away for a bit and came back and released one good concept album in 2013 and then became a husk of their former selves who barely even enjoy working together....panic at the disco isn’t panic at the disco the only remaining member of the band is brendon urie and while he’s an amazing vocalist and charming front-man he’s a weak songwriter and composer and their music has gone from burlesque hippie fever dream to generic pop slosh....my chemical romance is fine they can stay i respect them......but PARAMORE........has gone through very similar drama to patd and hayley williams has experienced just as much struggle as the members of fall out boy while maintaining professionalism and authenticity and quality and like...............wipe the dirt and misogyny out of your eyes and stream after laughter maybe you’ll feel better get well soon

ALSO any of the (frankly scant) misogyny in paramore’s early music isn’t cringe worthy in retrospect like that of their male-fronted counterparts but instead reads as an interesting study in growing out and away from internalized misogyny

Honestly I have a theory that a big reason why corporations hate the idea of higher wages is that their entire business model revolves around having the lowest prices, rather than the best product or service. If we get paid better, we can afford to make a choice.

Will there ever be a better actress than Tatiana Maslany, who flawlessly played over 10 characters with distinct personalities and characteristics and did it so well that it was easy to forget that two characters having a conversation in a scene were played by the same actress? Not only that, but also playing characters impersonating other characters and selling their mannerisms so well that viewers could tell exactly who she was supposed to be even when pretending to be someone else?
