wednesday, feburary 3 | day 23/100 of productivity

i love watching sunrises, something about them feels very rejuvenating. yesterday was a hard day, just felt very burnt out and insecure about a lot of lil things. but i walked to my fave coffee shop and gave myself a break. even if it was just for an hour, it was nice to not to feel like i HAD to be doing something. i even got stuff done! :) but i am procrastinating studying for this midterm LOL so today, mark my words, i will study

accomplishments -worked out -watched a new kdrama w/ my friend -finished my anki cards for the week! -moderated the small-group session w/o tears -tried a new drink: matcha latte w/ two pumps of chai

What. A. Year.

Productivity has definitely fluctuated during this odd time. I have been using essay competitions to have something to work towards after finishing my masters applications.

But let’s be real for a minute.. at times it has felt as though all the work I was doing or had done was going to go nowhere- into the abyss. This year hasn’t been about study goals so much as it has been about staying alive.

I hope everyone is safe and happy. Even if you were just able to keep eating your favourite meal or watching your favourite show this year, you have achieved a lot.

I found an old train ticket in this second hand book I bought a while ago.

I’m wondering who was so passionate about studying Romanticism on a train from Milano to Trieste on 11th april 1988. Were they returning from holidays and studying for an exam? Or were they doing research for their thesis?
