not enough depictions of panic stricken characters coughing reflexively as they can’t get a breath in

panic attacks while injured really hit different. no matter how they try to think logically, they can't calm down, and every sharp inhale leads to more agony--just overwhelmed and exhausted and afraid, all that emotion cutting in like glass and broken ribs, hyperventilating with a hand pressed against the injury and a broken, gasping cry of pain...

characters acquiring permanent, disabling nerve damage from restraints; particularly in their hands. loss of fine motor control, weakness, numb or tingling sensations, sensitivity to temperature, chronic pain. maybe they need to wear splints to manage their disability, or do stretches. maybe they need intensive pain management. how does this affect their recovery? their life free after bondage and captivity?

i <3 when women characters feel they aren't able to express sadness in "normal" ways because they don't feel safe enough to cry in their environment so instead they opt for the more acceptable strong emotion of rage and they get recklessly angry at the people around them in fits of misplaced sadness and terror and make irreversible decisions and hurt others. i dont care as much when this happens to a man

he likes having his autonomy violated and his boundaries overruled it's literally good for him. he likes being given a meaningful task within pre-defined constraints that he absolutely must do Or Else. and he likes being packed up and kept in a box. send post.

y'know how standing (especially still/at attention) for an extended period of time can make fainting from illness/dehydration much more likely? unrelatedly you should put your sick characters on guard duty
