my name's emily, i'm 26, and i'm a fourth year english literature student from scotland! i've had this blog for about a year and i'm hoping to use it a bit more intentionally and post more consistently this semester 😊
this semester i'm taking three english modules:
🧚♀️ victorian fantasy: this is the one i'm most looking forward to because i love victorian literature and i love fantasy! really excited to see if it lives up to expectations
🧬 modernism and gender: also a big fan of modernism so looking forward to this as well, and i think the gender angle will be really interesting!
🎭 shakespeare: somehow i have made it to my final year of an english literature degree without ever properly studying shakespeare so definitely apprehensive of this one but hoping it'll be good

i love baking 🍰 and i loveee to travel ✈️ when i can afford it!
i really enjoy spending time in nature 🏞 and i love having plants and flowers 💐 in my house <3
outside of university i'm currently learning six languages: italian, french, spanish, german, scottish gaelic, and greek. i'm trying to take this more seriously as well this year, so i've bought grammar textbooks for spanish and german and am hoping to do regular translation practice for italian and french!
i'm planning on posting weekly to-do lists and updates a couple times a week, as well as reblogging general study aesthetic/motivation stuff and useful study tips
