New painting

Painting for a monthly art challenge between friends, theme was "emotions". To be honest morose may be a bit euphemistic for what I ended up with. Somewhat inspired by Selma Blair's character in Guillermo's Hellboy. Anyway hope you like it.

Quick paintings for school again, had to represent "to be lost" in a universe I established with other comrades. Currently awaiting feedback from our professor.

School work

School project, had to reimagine a game, chose Final Fantasy 7 although I’ve never played it. Not too happy with the result, didn’t have time to properly finish.

Schoolwork which required to sculpt and texture a "pacific" alien without clothes or equipment. Dunno if she looks pacific or not, people seem to disagree... I went for a more mystical look, almost divine because pacific aliens bore me. I wanted to go for an intelligent species, more so than humans, like they know something we don't but without all the technological stuff. Technologically advanced humans would discover them and just not know what to expect. To keep in line with the instructions I didn't want her to look aggressive but like she could still very much hurt you if she has to. The character design in itself is heavily inspired by several Dota 2 characters.

"No one triumphs over Death, he is the last to die..." This is my take on the Death card which is one of the major arcana in divinatory Tarot. Maybe I'll do the others sometime. I didn't want to represent him in a traditional manner, such as the Grim Reaper, so I did quite a bit of research on the personification of death and the deities of the underworld in many cultures. In the end I had waaayy to much material to work with so I kept it simple. Death is often associated with fertility and rebirth and a Celtic god, Cernunnos, symbolizes that with antlers which I thought was cool as they also represent strength and invincibility, both also characteristics of Death.

Started out as school project where we had to pick an animal, three words and then make an anthropomorphic character based on those. I chose the Cinereous Vulture and my three words were intelligence, pragmatism and domination.

Cinereous vulture study for an upcoming anthropomorphic character. It's a school project where we had to choose an animal, three words related to the animal according to reasons we provided and propose an anthropomorphic character design based on the words. Mine were intelligence, pragmatism and domination. I'll post the character design once it's fully done.
