However, you also need to differentiate between your own headcanons and personal interpretations and what is actually canon in the manga and what can hold more than one interpretation.

Gon and Killua aren't just your yaoi dolls, nor is HxH your story. You have no authority over these characters to tell others how they should or shouldn't interpret them. These are characters written by a real person who put a great deal of effort into crafting both the story and the characters.

I know there are shotacons who don't even care about age, but this specific question is directed to the idea of ageing them up just to make it morally acceptable to sexualize them.

I love Killua as a character, he is so beautifully written. It's true that his affection for Gon is undeniably pure and heartfelt. However, Killua’s desire to change existed long before he ever met Gon.

he tried to befriend Canary, healed a bird in his childhood, and attempted to communicate with his parents, and ultimately chose to run away from home.

These actions reflect an internal struggle and a genuine wish to break free from the path set for him.

If that desire hadn’t been there from the beginning, he wouldn’t have left home,and he wouldn’t have met Gon in the first place.

Gon may have represented a path to freedom, but the motivation itself was always within Killua. It wasn’t something imposed by an external influence. Like " oh he loves Gon so much he's doing this only because of love ".

And while it's true that he loves Gon so much, it's so unfair to label all his insecurities, his truama, his individual self, and his efforts to change to just him being " head over heels " for Gon.

Killua is an exceptional character who deserves to be appreciated as an individual, not solely through the lens of his relationship with Gon.

Killua cries for Gon's pain , feels his happiness, believes in his strength, and always gets his back .

" supportive wife " is a truly good way the director used to describe killua .

1. I dislike 1999 height difference.

2. I find the " you are light " scene super sad.

2. Their relationship is beautiful but can be unhealthy. It's not perfect.

3. Gon doesn't have romantic feelings for killua till now .

4. Pining Gon is ooc . Gon always seems like the type to focus on his goals and his personal growth, it's weird to imagine him all sad and longing for someone because of his feelings , he's a boy of action , if he ever to catche feelings for killua , I think he would be the straightforward and bold type.

I can't tell you how much I respect and admire this woman .

She ( along side with Killua and Leorio ) is one of the most inspiring characters in the series.

Her parents died when she was only a toddler , she only haded Ging and Abe to hold onto as a young kid . She loved and admired Ging heartedly, just for him to betray these emotions of the orphan child ( which I don't consider selfishness or cruelty ,Ging has his own life , and he can't always stay with Mito , but what i consider selfish , is him cutting off all the connections between him and his family for no justified reason ) .

And when Ging comes back holding a 3 years old Gon within his hands, she stood strong and brave against the same person she admired the most in this whole world for no other reason than being caring and concerned for this unknown child safety.

She was only 13 when she took the custody of Gon ,she shouldn't understand or even think about such responsibilities, she's only a kid after all. But she did , and she took all these responsibilities on her shoulders to be the greatest mother Gon will ever ask for .

She sacrificed her childhood and youth just to hold Gon and Abe all whole together and make sure they're happy, safe and sound . What a great lady . Not only she handled the situation herself perfectly , strongly and maturely, but she also well-raised Gon , with all the love and wisdom, just for him to grow up being such a kind , polite, brave and respectful young man , with such a pure loving soul, just like the person who raised him .
