Letās be serious: if this man genuinely cared about protecting his family, this entire situation would have been handled completely differently.
If they truly wanted the public to believe a child existed, there would have been one clear statement from Chris, his 'wife', or either of their teams: āTheir representatives confirm that they welcomed a child.ā That is all it would have taken.
Instead, a married man at his level of fame allowed more than ten blind items to sit unanswered for all this time, claiming that he controls his family, excludes his wife from everything, enforces extreme privacy, and has left her miserable after she supposedly gave up her entire life for him. If he were genuinely married to this woman, why would he allow the public to believe all of that without correcting it?
On top of that, he has repeatedly treated her terribly in front of every camera and on every public path they have ever walked together. Are we really supposed to believe he chose to marry this woman, yet consistently treats her this way whenever the public can see them?
Since the Oscars, they have pushed article after article insisting that they are a ālove festā and calling the appearance a āparentsā night out,ā yet they completely refused to speak to reporters. Saying that happened because they are āprivateā is ridiculous. Hollywood is an industry. When you attend something as major as the Oscars and walk the red carpet, speaking to the press is part of the job. Chris has spoken to reporters while entering the Oscars every other time he has attended.
So why did neither of them speak about their supposedly happy married life or their new baby?
Instead, they claimed that fans had violated her privacy, leaving both of them upset, while they still chose to parade down the red carpet. That was a weak excuse for refusing to confirm whether they even had a baby. It was incredibly shady.
After the Oscars, it only became worse. An old photograph was sent to People through Rita Ora and presented as though it came from a current trip. I thought they had just welcomed a baby. Why were they supposedly traveling to Tennessee to socialize and party?
None of this behavior presented a solid, happy, united marriage involving a new child. It would have been much easier to issue a simple two-sentence statement to People: āWe are happy and ask that everyone respect our marriage, our child, and our privacy.ā But they did not do that.
Instead, the cheating allegations escalated on ENT, and by June there was an officially answered blind item stating that he had been involved with another woman since the fall. Why would he then walk into San Diego wearing a wedding ring after being publicly identified as having another relationship?
A normal married man would have released a statement saying the infidelity claim was completely false and moved on. His team did not do that. They left the allegation on record and allowed fans to speculate.
Another blind item was also answered that essentially suggested the Oscars appearance had been a failed attempt to make the couple look good together and emphasized that the child remained completely unverified. That is not a positive sign either.
Now we are approaching this convention, and not one part of the situation has been clarified publicly. Fans have every right to discuss it on Twitter, Tumblr, and TikTok and ask what the hell is going on.
A public figure who was happily married and had a child would have issued a statement long ago: āWe are still happily married, we welcomed a baby, and we ask that everyone leave our family alone.ā That would have ended it.
Nothing about this situation has ever appeared genuine, private, or protective. They cannot claim to care about their childās safety while repeatedly placing the childās supposed birthday and full name into articles and simultaneously feeding stories about stalking fans to ENT. Those actions directly contradict each other.
Why are they also continuing to make public appearances while refusing to clear up what is happening?
Fan Expo Boston is not designed for the kind of clarification this situation now requires. He cannot sit across from fans and casually say, āThere were rumors, but none of them were true,ā and then blame fans for starting them. He will literally be sitting in a room full of fans. He cannot accuse the audience in front of him of causing the problem.
If he suddenly claims that he has had a child this entire time, he will look deeply disturbing because he could have issued a simple statement more than ten months ago saying, āWe had a baby. Please respect our privacy.ā End of story.
But they did not do that. They continued making everything worse.
Justin unfollowed people. She deleted posts from Instagram. Then her own agent showed her apparently living in New York City. Fans did not invent those things. Their own actions showed the public those clues.
If they did not want fans discussing the behavior or drawing conclusions from what they were seeing, perhaps they should not have behaved that way publicly, and maybe removed that divorce document from twitter long ago. Her agent did not have to show her in New York City, but they chose to do it. Every action taken this year was a choice.
If there were a solid marriage and a real baby behind all of this, none of this should have happened. He would have released one clear statement and ended the discussion.
Instead, there have been ten months of drama, divorce documents, attacks against fans, unanswered allegations, deleted posts, unfollowing, controlled media appearances, contradictory media stories, and an unverified child. Now we are suddenly expected to believe he will sit across from fans, smile, and pretend none of it happened?
He can wear a wedding ring and continue pretending to be married, but an answered allegation that he has been with another woman remains on record. After more than a month without any denial from him or his team, that silence matters. Especially since this was not one random blind item. Throughout November, multiple blinds repeatedly claimed that he was cheating, and nobody disputed them. The allegation returned in May, was officially answered in June, and still has not been denied.
Fans did not imagine any of that. Fans did not create it. His team allowed it to remain unanswered.
So I do not know what anyone expects to happen this weekend, but it is not going to be pretty.
That is assuming he even attends.
