There’s an old Arabic proverb that I love:
“Unlike the stomach, the brain doesn't alert you when it's empty.”
A silent, slow decay. That's what it is, living that way. With someone who's brain has decomposed, A man that stopped me from writing prose, Who beat me into submission, Like for breathing, I needed permission. Be wary, of who you let in your heart. Some men won't hesitate to tear you apart.
