was your character âblippedâ out? if so, what did they return to and how is it affecting them? if not, who important to them was blipped out, and what has it felt like after those five years have passed?Â
Ororo was not blipped and remained with the X-Men during the five years that passed over. She was deeply heartbroken by the loss to the whole world, but also of many of her dearest friends among the X-Men. She concentrated on helping the mutants that remained behind and teaching the younger generation that was left, wanting to keep what they could of their community alive. Now that everyone is back, Ororo is relieved beyond words, but worried. Such catastrophic events cannot be easily recovered from.Â
where are they living? are they living with anyone?
Ororo is living at the school, where she still teaches classes when she is able. Now that the rest of the X-Men have returned, she feels comfortable taking some time off from teaching to go back to actively serving on a team, in this case, for SWORD.Â
why is your character affiliated with who theyâre affiliated with?
Ororo would rather work with the X-Men, but she believes it is her duty to help rebuild the world and for that reason is aligned with SWORD for now. During the five years everyone was gone she mostly retired from active hero work to focus on teaching, which was difficult for her in some ways, missing actively fighting.
who are their major friends, allies, and foes?
Her major friends are the X-Men, particularly her dearest friend Jean Grey, who Ororo has been close to since her early days with the team. Ro is also close to Logan, Kurt and Scott, but considers all the X-Men to be her family, particularly given she lost her own parents when she was young. She does not easily trust outside of the X-Men, but is willing to work with anyone, provided they understand she will be watching them.Â
whose hands do they believe the country should be in?
Ororo wants to ensure there is a mutant presence among the powers gathering at SWORD and SHIELD. She would prefer they get a say on how their affairs are handled for once, and will do whatever it takes to make sure they are protected.Â
whatâs their current mental state at? their physical state
Sheâs carrying a great deal of responsibility and attempting to support the recovery all those of the X-Men who returned after the five years. As one of the leaders of the X-Men, she feels she must look after the others, as sheâs been trying to do ever since the blip, rather than put her own needs first.Â

BETSY  FONDLY  CHUCKLES  .  at  one  point  ,  she  did  consider  the  school  a  home  .  but  after  all  thatâs  happened  ,  she  finds  it  best  to  distance  herself  .  â  iâm  always  in  and  out  of  the  city  that  itâs  just  nice  to  have  a  place  of  my  own without disrupting anything  .  iâm  just  glad  they  didnât  sell  it  during  the  blip  .  â  and  she  wouldâve  been  PISSED  if  that  happened  .  â  speaking  of  ,  how  are  things  going  at  the  school  ?  i  hear  emmaâs  the  co-headmaster  .  â
âIâm glad it was still here waiting for you,â Ororo said, taking another sip. âThat, and Iâm glad that you are here, now.â The words seemed like an understatement, really, but she was still not entirely sure how to express her gratitude towards Betsyâs return to life. âAh, the school is as chaotic a place as ever it was. Though I would say Emma is a calming presence. Thereâs really no better teacher than her. I never thought I would say that, of course.â Ororoâs expression broke into a small smile, âBut itâs true.âÂ
having this easy connection to the people she cared most for was one of her favorite part of this whole thing, ororoâs voice in her mind served only to sooth her after a long day of work and worry â if it helps, youâre also making it look extremely easy. dare i say even more so than professor. â she grinned thinking how far her friend had come, how far they all have come specially in fronting such a terrible time over the last five years â iâll let you decide this time, but the cheesier the better. âÂ
I can hardly believe that to be true, but Iâll accept the flattery, Jean, Ororo thought back, amused. Truthfully, she doubted she would have made it through any of the difficulties of the blip without Jeanâs support. But then, it had been like that since she had first joined the X-Men, all those years ago. Jean had always been there, a comforting presence at Ororoâs side just as her mental touch was in her mind. Not stifling her smile, Ororo attempted to think of the worst song she could, all the better for their evening out. Hmmmn, challenge accepted. What do you say to ... a total eclipse of the heart?Â
Tinya sat enraptured like a student listening to a teacher. Ororo had this great ease to the way she spoke, making the alien distantly think about how she should be one of these famous romance authors lining the shelves, âThatâs beautiful, I quite like that way of seeing it. You think you wouldnât be the same person today if that hadnât happened?â The idea sort of made Tinya wonder how theyâd end up if theyâd gone through some kind of epic romance, âI donât think Iâm too stagnant though without it. Honestly, I kinda wish life would slow down a bit.â
âIâm sure I wouldnât,â Ororo responded, thinking it through. It was rare she had the chance to look back like this. Particularly in the last five years, thereâd been so little time to herself, to think. âThatâs not to say I would have been worse off, just different. Perhaps I would have left the X-Men, perhaps I wouldnât now be its leader ... thereâs no way to say, really.â Ororo shook her head, as if to break herself out of a reverie and refocused on Tinya. âWell, thatâs it. Itâs just important to fill your life with the things you need. I can understand that. Iâm afraid, for me, life has never exactly managed a slow pace, but perhaps youâll have more luck. Do you have plans for your future? Returning to your planet?â Â
leaving. yes thatâs a good idea. he can start a fight and stay but perhaps itâs ⌠best for him to be out of the proverbial spotlight. â okay. â thereâs a hint of defeat in his voice. if anyone else was here instead of storm, he would FIGHT against them and not go so quickly. but a battle against storm is not one heâll win. even someone as impulsive him knows that. sheâs powerful and sheâs got YEARS of practice and training in general. itâs a fight that will end quickly and he will LOSE badly. â you can spare the lecture storm. iâve heard it before and donât need to hear it again. â heâs heard several variations of it from several people over the course of his time here on earth. and while the tone, person, and words change, the fundamental message stays the same and storm is saying nothing new. â i would like to leave right now. â
The signs were good. Ororo didnât breath an obvious sigh of relief, but it would have been a disaster if Gabriel had resisted. There were too many watching eyes, too many ways the situation could have become a disaster. Even if nobody had gotten hurt - and she was fairly certain she could have contained him before anyone did - it still would have been terrible in terms of their image. Ororo hated that she had to think of things like that, but it was her life now, particularly as headmistress. She was still sorry, however, to see the defeat in his expression, in the bend of his shoulders. Ororo gave him a careful glance, assessing. âPerhaps what you really need is the chance to use your powers in a different context. Theyâre obviously strong.â She lifted her hand from his shoudler and tilted her head towards the door. âI have an X-Jet outside, if you would accept my invitation back to the school, for an hour or so. It doesnât have to be now, but Iâd like to talk to you further, Gabriel. You didnât really answer my question, about what you want. Not just now, but for your future.âÂ

scott had spent most of his morning saying hello to the students, many had question and if scott was being honest he didnât have many answers, but he was he was trying his best regardless. when he catches ororo in the distance he is quick to tell the kids that he would love to stay and chat but he had to do some stuff before class started, he slips past the group of people holding the two coffeeâs above his head as he walks over towards her and holding out the cup. âjean told me about the coffee maker, figured iâd get you a coffee this morning,â he smiles, taking a sip of his cup. âfeels weird to be back here but⌠familiar? i donât know.âÂ
Ororo had made a point of not immediately going over to see Scott, on the morning of his return, wanting to allow him to settle in on his own time. It would be an adjustment, after his time away, and it was only fair to let him come back to the school without feeling as though Ororo was trying to watch over him. But after completing all her morning tasks, she could resist no longer and made her way to his first class, just in time to see him crowded by some of the students. He did truly belong here, she thought, smiling as he came over to her. âWhy, thank you, Scott. Perhaps you could pass some tips over to the other teachers on how to stay on the headmistressâ good side,â Ororo joked, taking the cup of coffee gratefully. âIâm glad to have you back. It looks like the students are as well.â Her smile turned a little more serious. âNo regrets yet, I hope?â Â
âPersonally,â Ororo began, taking one of the nearby chairs, her eyes falling on the coffee stains blotching the words on the page, âI believe youâve added character. Iâve never much cared for things that are too perfect.â She smiled in show of her amusement, a sense of comfort that had been missing for far too long. Her sense of envy had never been triggered by Charlesâ power, or that of any telepath; Ororo in truth could scarcely think of anything worse than being bombarded by thoughts of others or consumed by anotherâs mind instead of the freedom of the skies, but for once, she thought she could wish for it, if only to ease some of her concern. From the outside it appeared as though Charles had been struggling since his return, but she would have welcomed a look inside his mind to know for sure. To know what she could do to help. âI wouldnât mind, if you donât mind the company for a while. Iâm happy to sit quietly if if you donât wish to be disturbed. Itâs been a while since Iâve had a quiet, peaceful morning, what with running the school. I canât tell you how many times Iâve wondered how you did it, all these years.âÂ
it feels like sheâs broached a â difficult â subject. lois was VERY forward and direct with the other after all. but she needs to know as much as she can. considering how mutants are treated here, she should not be surprised to get a restrained answer. it seems most humans are not accepting of mutants, no matter who they are or what they do. â oh right. â head nods as she reaches into her bag to turn the recording unit on. â iâve read about that. about the mutant rights movement and the bigots attached. â it seems every time the mutants make one step forward with equality, some bigot is there to take them back three steps. â so full time school ? okay then. â sheâs learning a lot. but she suspects thereâs a bit of â pr polished â lines the headmistress is saying but also some genuine emotion in her voice. â and the teachers ? who are they ? â
âWe have certainly never had it easy,â Ororo responded levelly, remaining wary as she was not entirely certain which side this reporter would fall under, ally or enemy. âBut that has never stopped our mission, to provide a safe and enriching environment for young mutants to learn to use their powers, first and foremost.â Her attitude was professional, clearly, with little of her own opinons or feelings reflecting in her eyes, though Ororo didnât necessarily receive any negative signals from her. Ororo let her gaze flick down to the reporterâs badge: Lois Lane. A name to remember. Sheâd certainly be looking out for whatever article followed this impromptu interview; Ororo could only be grateful that she was the one leading the tour, and not, say, Logan, who had always refused to provide proof that heâd completed the PR training she and Emma had set out for all teachers. Or Bobby, who had done the training, but who Ororo still simply would not trust around the press. âOur teaching staff are all experienced instructors, highly trained in the use of our powers. Many of us have served as members of the X-Men at one time or another, but our priority now, of course, is the welfare of the students. Itâs been a difficult few years. Ms. Lane, is it? Iâm sure you yourself know that.â Â
Tinya distantly hoped their eyes werenât too blank while listening to Ororoâs answer. They werenât particularly insecure in their inexperience with romance, but it was just such an untouchable concept - like a artifact to be studied more than experienced, âInteresting⌠Did you have a favorite?â The brunette questioned before backtracking, âOnly if you feel comfortable answering, of course!â
Taking in Tinyaâs nervous expression, Ororo gave them a gentle pat on the shoulder. âOf course I donât mind you asking. I donât know if favorite is the right word exactly. They all remain among my dearest friends. And no less important for that. But perhaps my first love was a woman called Yukio. She was unlike anyone else Iâd ever met. Well, she still is,â Ororo said, lips curling into a private smile. "She helped me bring out my rebellious side. In fact she helped me realize I had a rebellious side. Thatâs the greatest part about love - whether itâs romantic, or that of friendship, familial, any kind. For me, at least ...itâs taught me about parts of myself I didnât even know were there. Without it, weâd just be stagnant.âÂ

ororo makes some very good points , and rhodey nods along as she speaks . he , too , has found out the hard way that young people really do not like to listen â though he will admit to not being quite as willing to just let them go as her . â i just remember when i was their age , the dumb things i got up to â i want them to be doing things like that . not worrying about portals and world-ending events âŚÂ â he shrugs . â but hey , if i ever have to raise a kid , iâll be super prepared for the teenager phases . â
Ororo listened, not entirely able to relate. From the moment her parents died, her childhood became largely about survival. But she could understand wanting to preserve the childhood of others. âYouâll certainly have a unique perspective,â she agreed. âAll the more the reason for us to remain prepared, for whatever new conflict may arise from this situation. That way, we can keep them out of the line of fire as much as possible. Would you and your people be willing to work together on this, at least confer? Perhaps itâs time the X-Men and the Avengers met in the middle.âÂ
the x-men were his family, the school had been a place that he had called home for many years, it would be out of place for him to be anywhere else. it wouldnât make sense. but he also knew why some of the students ventured out and found a different path for him, itâs hard trying to live up to expectations that other people lay out for you. scott had took the leadership role because he wanted to make a difference, try and be a better person, he had messed up a couple of times, (more than a couple of times), but it had come from a place where he thought he was right, heâd do anything for these people, protecting them was his first priority even if it was fighting against their own. he feels cheated in a way, angry in another, he had his life together for the first time in a long time and then he just blipped. he felt like he was just starting to a get a grip on the scott summers that he had liked and wanted to be. he just felt lost now, not knowing where he stood with the school anymore other than just a reminder of what was. he knew that he needed to learn to love it in another way now. âi donât think thereâs another path for me, ororo.â he says, his smile is a sad one. âplus it would just be me walking in the dark alone if i tried.â people needed people. âi talked to emma,â he eventually says, âi told her i was coming back.â he looks down now, âi like keeping my promises to emma.â he says, a small laugh escaping his lips, âbut youâre right. the school is home. plus i have no where else to go. i guess youâre just stuck with me.â
Ororo had resented for so long the way that Scott had been taken from them. Him and so many others. It had seemed so cruel, so pointless. To have this miracle, to get everyone back, Ororo could not help but worry, but for this moment, she chose only to rejoice and squeezed his hands one last time. âI will always walk this path with you, Scott. The days that we win may be few but... today is one of those days.â Her smile stretched out impossibly wide. âThatâs enough for me.â While she knew what was coming would not be easy, she had faith in him. âGood. Emmaâs been ... well, sheâs been a better friend to me than I could have imagined,â she said. It was only his death that had made Ororo see that. She was glad she could at least tell him of one good change that had taken place over the years. âI must admit, Scott, you were right about her. These past years, the X-Men would have been lost without her. As would I.â Ororoâs voice had gone low, not entirely past emotion when remembering how dark some of those early years had felt. She gave herself a moment to recover before returning briskly to business, with a hint of a smile, âBut I assume our ever capable mutual friend would have told you that she and I are the co-headmistresses now? Hmmn, I believe weâll give you your job back. Are you ready to get back into the classroom, Mr. Summers?â Ororo raised an eyebrow, slightly teasing. If they didnât laugh, they would cry, and she did not have the patience for tears this day. Today they had won. âThis time, Iâm sure youâll survive the experience.âÂ
she could practically feel ororoâs tension standing next to her. raven knew that they were not exactly everyoneâs cup of tea and it never bothered her. it still doesnât. she had known that after they had gotten their beloved leaders back that the camaraderie they had shared the past five years would eventually mean nothing to the people in the school. everything was starting to get back to normal for them, and it had proved everything that raven already knew: she didnât belong here. she had tried being good, and it had lasted her five years but all of the effort and time she had spent making those that felt lost without the people that have blipped was up now. she smiles, watching ororoâs stance, watching the way ororo was watching people, trying to be on your best behaviour seemed exhausting to raven. it was hard to understand where raven began and mystique ended, they had been blended for so long now she knows that when ororo looks at her in this form all she can see is what kurt got from her, and what she lacked. she wasnât kind or warm or loving, but she was unapologetically herself, selfish, yes, but she knew how to survive. she wants to ask, does this form only disgust you when itâs on me?
âdoes your mouth hurt from all the forced smiling?â itâs a rhetorically question at this point, she wasnât intentionally trying to get a rise out of ororo, but it seemed that she repulsed most people just by being herself which made her laugh very briefly at herself before shaking her head. âif i wanted to harm the children i would have done it in the five years that i helped this school, but look, they are all still standing and accounted for.â she did have to roll her eyes at the threat though, mutantsâwhile some annoyed herâwere never truly the problemâit was the people that they were letting come in and out of this open house that were gawking at them like they were little circus animals.Â
Her eyes flickered back around the crowd and then back to Raven, Ororo unable to decide what was more in need of her watchful eye. There was only so much of her guard she was able to let down around the shapeshifter; unfair, perhaps, but the result of their long history. Cause and effect, that guided her in everything and had done since the day Ororo had first truly understood her powers. What she brought to one place, she took from another. If she brought rain, she had taken it from someone, somewhere, who perhaps needed it. There was a consequence to every choice and she could not take what she wanted without understanding that, no matter what good cause Ororo thought it was for, no matter how desperatedly she thought she needed it. Did Raven understand the principle? That, she didnât know. Ororo smiled tightly, âI do get rather sick of it at times. But I never forget my true goals.â Whatever irritation she might feel, whatever worry, whatever difficulty in playing nice, she would do it, all for the sake of that better future for the students.
It was not that she believed Raven wanted to hurt the students. Not right now, not the version of her that Ororo had gotten to know during the blip. But she was not so certain that version was stable. Ororo continued, words light, even if they had a subversive confrontational edge to them. âThe problem, Raven, is that itâs never entirely clear what you do want.â Her smile had lost its tight edge, its faked corners and was now simply sad. âSometimes I believe you do not even know yourself. Thatâs what makes you ... so dangerous.â She finished with a regretful shrug. âI do want to trust you. For Kurtâs sake, if nothing else.âÂ
â i still feel the need to. sometimes. and that means a lot to me ororo so thank you. â but for her to hear it from ororo, definitely means a lot to her. and while ororo IS right that emma has proven herself to be loyal to the x-men no matter what, thereâs a part of her that still feels like she doesnât deserve it. imposter syndrome. or at least, some form of it. and itâs possible that she will never stop feeling this way. but she wonât let anyone know - including ororo. she just lets out a dry laugh. â well. thereâs a reason why youâre more of the face of the school compared to me. youâre better at the â rousing speech of courage and optimism â speeches. â emma tells it like it is. which might work for the adult x-men but certainly NOT for the younger generation. itâs the fact that she knows this doesnât make her a BAD teacher but a good one. a good teacher knows when to push and when not to. â an optimist ? hardly. but charlesâ ideologies tend to rub off on you. whether you like it or not. â yes, her opinions on peaceful mutant/human coexistence has changed. yes sheâs no longer in the â mutant supremacy â camp but she still stays apprehensive of humans. sheâs seen enough from them to know that they can never be FULLY trusted on mutant matters. â donât worry about logan. weâll make sure he behaves and doesnât shed on the couch. â itâs pretty EASY to tease logan. almost everyone does it. the mention of scott turns her cold inside. one can argue sheâs always cold but sheâs⌠colder than usual now. â yes yes of course. â voice slips into a much more formal tone. â heâs a big part of the x-men, big part of the school. he should be able to come back if he wants. thatâs okay with me. â
For a moment, Ororo watched the flicker pass across Emmaâs face. If any of her own words eased Emmaâs burdens, she was glad of it, but ultimately, it was a battle Emma had to fight alone. She simply gave a warm smile, hoping to convey her affection. âYears of practice,â Ororo joked. âYouâll see, youâre already starting to give them yourself.â Her eyebrows raised, more pleased to hear it than she would have thought, âSo weâve made you believe, at least a little more. I consider that quite a victory.â It was good to hear Emma say it, even if Ororo had suspected. They saw so little true progress in their mission, that it meant something to have this small change. To have a little more hope, she thought, still smiling through the joke at Loganâs expense, though it soon faded from her lips. âAlright,â she cautiously, watching Emmaâs expression. It was truly impossible to read the White Queen at times, and Ororo knew that was the way Emma liked it. Still, she could not help but feel for her, continuing slowly, âIâm glad heâll be home, more than I can say. From what he said to me, it sounded rather like you were a large part of his decision to return.â Ororo left it there, not wanting to meddle - at least, not more than she perhaps already had. âOf course, weâll welcome him back, but please do let me know if there will be any issues. Itâs your home as well.âÂ
he knew it would not be LONG until someone called the mansion. that is, if he was lucky. worst case scenario, someone would call the police who would have sent a sentinel after him. something that gabriel knows he can handle but it wouldnât be without a lot of destruction. which is his speciality. itâs not long until someone comes and announces her presence. itâs storm. sheâs not shouting at him. not angry. but he also knows she doesnât want to see him continue like this. in public at least. and while gabriel is not happy that someone has been sent to stop him, heâs glad itâs ororo at least. â i make a lot of people nervous due to my powers. itâs just what i am. i assume youâre here to get me out ? â
Ororo could see the anger remaining in his eyes, but at least it did not appear to be directed at her. âWell, we might as well leave. I donât believe youâre going to get whatever it was you wanted to purchase out of the machine now,â she said, with a gentle humor. This situation did not have to end badly, and she certainly hoped that it wouldnât. How many times she had been in the middle of something just like played across the back of her mind, more precisely, how many times it had ended in disaster. Though Gabriel wasnât exactly a student, she still felt the responsibility for him resting on her shoulders.  âItâs true,â she admitted. âOur powers will always frighten people. But we get to choose how we use them. That is your real power, Gabriel. The choices that are only yours to make. I donât want to force you to do anything, just ask: what is it you want to do now?âÂ

Tinya flipped through one book with a black cover, landing on a page with a particularly steamy scene and starting to giggle, âOh no, weâre not a particularly sensual sort of planet - but I suppose it depends on the person,â The alien shrugged, sliding the book black on the shelf, âBgztlians are romantic, in the artistic sense. What about you?â
Ororo felt her lips curve into a laugh in response to Tinyaâs giggle, her eyes softening at the question. âOh, Iâve had great loves. I say had, but Iâll always love them. It stays with me. I doubt it was anything like what youâd read in those books, though. The real thing is better, if not as ... dramatic,â she finished, smiling in amusement.Â
art museums: the city was full of them. to any scoundrel, the walls of the museum of modern art were practically screaming for a heist⌠gambit was no exception. â the starry night ⌠magnifique , â he mused, turning his head to the person beside him, â i used tâteach art history ⌠yâreally canât appreciate it until yâright up close . â he leaned in closer to the famous painting, dangerously close to setting off the silent alarm.
âYou appear to be looking with your hands almost as much as your eyes, my friend,â Ororo said, nursing an amused smile as she stepped up besides him, before turning her gaze to the painting. He was right, it was, truly, sublime. Still taking it in, she mused, âIâve always thought you were a very good teacher, since you brought it up. Far more so than your family business.â Ororo could hardly look down on thieving, it was what had kept her alive as a child, but in her mind, Remy belonged with the X-Men. âI donât suppose this time I can recruit you back full-time?âÂ
