In Copenhagen you can visit The Round Tower. It used to be an astronomical observatory until light pollution and the vibrations from increased traffic in the streets made it useless for its original purpose.
Today itās mostly famous for what it looks like on the inside.
It has an equestrian staircase though itās so smooth itās really just a gentle slope more than a staircase. It was build like that so our lazy bum king could ride his horse all the way to the top (king not in photo)
And naturally people have also driven cars up the tower
And held a bike race
For a while it was just sort of abandoned by the authorities and became a sloping marketplace
But today it has been restored and become a tourist spot as well as a popular destination for school trips. And yes, you can still watch the cosmos at the top.
There's no proof the interior was build with horses in mind and the only royal to ever ride a horse up it was russian tsar Peter the Great!!! And even then he would have had to descend stairs at the very top because the actual platform and observatory has only ever been accessible by stairs!!!

Having difficulty drawing these days, so I did a little piece based on this photo from "the Charles de Beistegui ball", held in Venice in 1951. The masks these ladies are wearing in the photo actually seems to be 18th century "moretta"-masks! They're worn with no straps and are held onto the face by a button that the wearer clasps in their mouth!!! Very cool and creepy. I made one of these myself once, they're very easy to make from a standard blank mask, warm recommendation for an easy but creepy costume. The real ones obviously have holes for the eyes, but the quality of the photo had them blend into the black, and I wanted to keep that effect (:

i'm biased but if you're somebody who loves and is attracted to fat people & you have nice sentiments towards double chins and fat arms and rolls and other fat features that don't get much airplay you should be vocal and insistent about them bc it's something many of us will never ever hear addressed positively & it feels really nice to know that these features can be not just tolerated/overlooked but actually actively adored
It's legit terrifying whenever I step out of my little bubble and realize the level of copyright cocksuckery that is normalized in online artist communities.
Legitimately so horrifying to realize that whenever you're in any big online artist community on ANY platform, you're almost definitely sharing that space with people who regard concepts such as "stealing a color palette" not as ridiculous ideas that should be laughed at but as legitimate and serious Art Crimes.
And it's not like a "Breaking news: One Guy said something stupid online, society is doomed" type of situation. Like it's not some kind of fringe position it's something that a not insignificant number of people legitimately believe.
Imagine saying "that's why musicians will sue each other over 5 seconds of a song where the rhythm is too directly similar" with the implication that musicians suing each other over 5 seconds of a song where the rhythm is too directly similar is a good, reasonable thing that's desirable to emulate in the visual arts space and not legitimately one of the most straight-up demonic practices that have taken hold in the music industry.
If you think that's a good thing that can be used as justification for acting the same way in the visual arts space or any other medium I as a musician kinda wanna bash your head in with a brick ngl.
