And of course he is too proud to tell her that he did, in fact, give them a painless death, because that admission would make it seem like he cares about anything or anyone and we can’t have that.

Cult leader surgery scene when Choi tells her their work together was the happiest time of his life… without making eye contact with her at all… and Se-ok finally confessing that she felt the same, admitting how heartbreaking it is that this will be their last surgery together… Also the fact that Choi has kept her angry handwritten letter to his colleague explaining her motivations for wanting this so badly, and the whole flashback sequence showing how their upbringing and experiences align so perfectly. And his affectionate little smile when he rereads it. I feel sickkkk

Also the credit scene of ep 5 with the burning car at sunset is so gorgeous (and also kind of lol, he burned his beloved murder car like he burned her dogs? Sorry Choi that’s not equivalent)
