the fires in aragon have reached san juan de la peña and i find out ON TWITTER because the news can't be arsed

the eclipse was very beautiful but frankly where did everyone get the whole "it will suddenly be NIGHT" thing from... like yeah it all got darker but more like a very cloudy evening lol. it did not turn pitch black

i've been discussing it and we're all agreement that the fact that this is a very large city with so much light pollution that the sky is actually not really black even at night played a part in it - if you were in the countryside it was probably darker just like nights are darker
