It was hard not to when the rest of world seemed intent on choosing them ‘second’ for near everything.
“Hey, you’re great and nerdy and smart, too,” the young teen protested, brow lightly pinched together in a light, lingering frown. They may not have known the girl very long nor knew her very well, but that hardly mattered to Luz. “Just…In your own special way.” A heavy pause accompanied by fidgeting, twisting fingers.
