Ask many of you know, my mother and I have been fighting off Covid for the past month and a half, it’s been a long slog and it’s far from over unfortunately. Even with the horrors of having Covid, I feel that we’re lucky because we have been able to breathe relatively well. Of course though, as these things go, nothing is ever simple. My mother has developed and abscess in her face, in her sinuses and jaw. At first we just thought it was a sore tooth, but we were quickly proven wrong. She’s at the doctor’s now, using all the appropriate precautions obviously, but the antibiotics we need for her aren’t covered, of course, because my parents deductibles ran out last month and we haven’t had the 100 dollars needed to pay for it again. So now all medication has to be paid out of pocket, which we also don’t have to cash for. So here I am, asking for help to pay for my mother’s antibiotics. It should run anywhere between 25 and 50 dollars, so I’m hoping to be able to raise 50 dollars by the end of the day. I’m a supporter of BLM, but saying all cops are bad because of a few bad eggs is exactly like saying all Black People are criminals cause a few of them are.

Its stupid, and insensitive.

For instance:

The cops in my town take the time to get to know the kids in the city, but will still arrest them if they do something stupid.

My sister is taking a Criminal Justice course and an officer that often teaches there works on our town’s force.

And if you justify the killing of cops by saying they’ve been killing black boys you don’t belong in our town.

I get that its tragic, but the cops that actually do the deeds get punished for it
