"You flatter me." Zane waves the comment off, laughing softly. Glancing around, he moves to his feet, voice dropping to a low whisper. "Quick, let's make a run for it." Once they make it out to the parking lot, he lets out a laugh, fake wiping his brow. "Whew, we made it."
"Don't get used to it, must be the wine going to my head" Stavo smirked, following closely until they were in the parking lot. "Who knows what they would have done if they had caught us" he joked as he let out a laugh as well and patted Zane on the shoulder, "So what's the plan now stud?"
almost 9. he had been out here for way too long. a strong breeze blew his hair out of his face and caused him to shiver slightly. he didn't realize how the temperature had dropped as the sun set. "i'm good. just...working through some stuff." he said vaguely, hoping the other wouldn't be offended by his lack of openness. "wanna join me? it's quite nice down here."
"I can relate to that" Stavo nodded and took up the offer to join the other down there on the sand, feeling the breeze on his curls and not blind to how his new companion gave a slight shiver. Without saying anything he slipped off his jacket and held it out to him, "And don't try and pretend you're not cold." He added, not feeling the cold himself yet from the walk he'd done to get here.

"Any holiday plans," Silas asked, glancing at the mechanic. The Spiked Wheel would be closed for the two final weeks of the year. Truthfully, Silas was looking forward to it, but he knew that the holidays could be difficult for some. "Or are you planning to just get some much deserved rest?"
"I'd love to get some rest, deserved or otherwise, but I'll probably spend most of the time trying to keep the peace in my family and stop my siblings from fighting each other" Stavo chuckled, leaning back with a light chuckled and wiping some sweat from his brow. "How about you? What'll you be up to boss?"
"Especially my bunnies. They're such a cute quartet." She said, proudly, as she flicked through the photos and showed them to her friend. Animals were easily one of Ana's biggest passions in life. "What have you been up to, anyway?" She asked, once she flicked through all the photos and set her phone down.
"Cutest things in the whole goddamn world for sure" Stavo agreed as he looked through the pictures she showed him and felt the tension of the day slowly ebbing away and his mood improving. "Just putting out the various fires my siblings always seem to be starting in their lives" he huffed with a shake of his head. "Sometimes I wish I could just take a break from them for a day, you know?" he sighed, "What about you? Anything new and exciting in your life?"

sugar sat silently on the beach, staring out at the water, for who knows how long. the sun had been up when he got here, but now it was setting, changing the colour of the sky and the sea. the sound of footsteps pulled him from his thoughts and he looked up at stavo. "hey, mate. do you know what time it is?" it was an awkward question to ask but one that needed to be asked anyway. his phone had died a long time ago and he didn't own a watch.
An evening walk along the beach was always a good way to clear his head after a busy day, still a little grubby from the garage, the breeze also seemed to help. Usually he didn't come across anyone on these walks so late at night but he almost jumped as he heard a voice. "Oh, hey there" he nodded lightly, checking his watch, "Almost 9, you all good down there?" he added, tempted to fall down on to the sand with him.
"Wouldn't you be so lucky to find out?" Zane teases back, an amused chuckle leaving his lips. At Stavo's next comment, he nods, setting the glass of wine he had been nursing down. "Well, it looks like things are wrapping up here if you want to sneak out and go get some real food?"
"The luckiest man on earth" Stavo smirked with a hint of teasing sarcasm to his voice to continue their playful banter. Finishing off his wine and placing his glass back on the table, he stood up grabbing Zane's arm and nodding towards the exit while the others were all distracted "Let's do it".

"I don't say that every time I see you." Ana protested, though it was definitely most of the time. At his request, she took a sip of her beer before thinking it over. "Do you want to see some pictures I took of my bunnies in their new run?" She asked, as she pulled her phone out. Cute animals always put her in a good mood.
"Dang, going straight for the big guns. You know that nobody can stay in a bad mood when they are looking at cute bunnies" he shook his head with a genuine chuckle, already feeling some of the stress leave his body from the couple of minutes since Ana sat down. She really was a source of light for him.

"Do you....want to talk about it?" Indy asks delicately, unsure if Stavo wanted to or not. They were a pretty good listener if so, and if not, they were happy to just drink beer in silence.
"I think distraction might be better, I don't want to bring your mood down too much" Stavo shrugged with a glance at Indy and an attempt at his usual charming smile. "Just my family being beyond stressful really, I'm probably being a bit of a child about it if I'm honest"
Zane half grins, half blushes at the compliment, head ducking for a moment, though he tries to cover it up by taking a sip from his wine. "So what you're saying is that I'm a good time." He teases back, amused. "I promise we can get some real food after this if you want, though."
Stavo couldn't help but notice what he thought was a slight blush at his comments and the charming smile on his face only grew. "Oh I'm definitely saying that you could be a good time" he continued the teasing with a wink and added "If you really want to be anyway". Taking another sip of his wine and feeling the light buzz tingle he nodded, "That sounds great, except I'm getting kinda hungry now already..." he trailed off.
Ana had just wrapped her shift and ordered herself a (vegan) beer to unwind before heading home. She couldn't help but let out a sigh when she saw Stavo. "This is such a sorry sight." She said, as she sat herself down opposite him anyway. "Anything in particular got you grumpy today?"
"You say that every time you see me, regardless of my mood" Stavo said with a short laugh as he moved his legs to give Ana room to sit down. "Oh you know, just the usual shit going on." he shrugged, "Are you going to have a crack at making me less grumpy today? You're usually pretty good at it"
"Sounds like you're the one having a bad day." Indy points out, raising a brow. "Won't say no to a beer though." They shrug at that, helping themself to one of said beers and taking a sip. "So we're just gonna sit here and drink in silence. I mean, I'm cool with that, just want to know the vibe."
"Bad day is probably an understatement, but at least it's nearly over" Stavo shrugged, making room at the table for Indy to sit down with him. "I mean you're welcome to try and find a way to put a smile on my face, or you can be consumed by my pouty broody silence, up to you" he said, unable to let a flash of happiness cross his eyes at having some company at last.
"'Cause I asked nicely and I'm cute when I beg?" Zane asks, letting out a chuckle. At least he had someone with him at the wine tasting to enjoy (or suffer) the afternoon with. "Besides, you're having a good time. Admit it."
"You're cute even when you don't beg" Stavo scoffed, "And it's actually quite annoying sometimes" he added in a teasing tone and giving Zane a nudge in his ribs. "Getting a bit tipsy in the middle of the afternoon with you...fine, that's a pretty good time even if it's at some fancy wine tasting place"

"I feel very out of place." Zane half whispers, half chuckles, attempting to swirl the glass of wine that was in his hand. He was definitely more of a (cheap) beer guy, but also wasn't against new experiences. The most Zane knew about wine was whatever cheap bottles he bought to cook with, if he was being honest. "I'm mostly here for the hors d'oeuvres, I'm not gonna lie."
"You and me both" Stavo mutters back with a smirk of his own, having never been to a wine tasting or even thought about wine tasting before. "Remind me how I let you convince me to tag along with you to this?" he added shaking his head and glancing over at Zane with a wiggle of his eyebrows before smelling the glass he had in front of him.
