For some reason, I just noticed that Jack Wolfe was credited as Wylan Hendriks in the season 2 cast release and it just made me realize that… him being Wylan Van Eck is supposed to be a plotwist. It’s not something I realized when reading Six of Crows because it was revealed at the very beginning, but like, depending on how they make him appear in the show, this could definitely be a plotwist and I just… A small part of me honestly wish I could see this show from the point of vue of somebody who’s never read the book. This must be super wild for them.

Do you guys ever think that Gwaine was talking about Merlin with Arthur one day and he just went "Isn’t it sad that Merlin’s father died right after they met?" and Arthur was like "what", so Gwaine tried to explain because he thought Arthur was too drunk to understand and said things like "Yeah, you know, his father that served Uther but was then banished"? Because Arthur might be oblivious but there’s no way he’s too dumb to understand that Gwaine’s talking about Balinor. 

My friends are like sims characters. It doesn’t matter if we’re having a conversation at the end of the class, as soon as they hear the bell they will just stand up without a word and walk away like the event they’re in just ended

In episode five of Merlin’s first season, Uther says to Arthur: "How can you trust a man who has lied to you?" and the fact that the shot IMMEDIATELY cut to Merlin is perfect, like you can tell the writers knew what they were doing.
