Urban Fantasy + Gorgons able to UN-petrify would be amazing for world building!
Like imagine the writing fun that could be had with a gorgon that can turn someone to stone and then turn everything back to what it was prior to petrifying. Gorgons who hire people to be an actual statue come to life for a performance art. Gorgons petrifying people with deadly illnesses so they can be kept safe until a cure is found. Gorgons turning crew of a spaceship to statues as a way to keep them preserved during long trips and then only having to keep the gorgon crew member alive. Gorgons turning a person into a statue for an art class, so they wake up immediately after the class is done. A drunk gorgon weeping because they keep trying to unpetrify an actual statue. On the darker side: Gorgon jailors who petrify prisoners prior to transport. A gorgon serial killer who petrifys, sculpts and then unpetrifys people so they suffer unique deaths.

I have so many questions about Vyper’s species:
Do gorgons face discrimination for their snakelike appearance, similar to what Ixians go through for looking like demons? Is there any sense of solidarity between them?
Are Medusa and her sisters historical figures in the deadlock universe, or do Gorgons view them as deities? What’s their version of mythology?
Are they an all female race? If so, how do they reproduce? What species was Vyper’s father (if he even was her real father)? Or is it like Monster High where gorgons can be male?
Do many of them pursue a life of crime, or is Vyper (and by extension her mother) an exception?
Can they get tattoos? HOW do they get tattoos? Or piercings for that matter. (Vyper wants to steal Lady Geist’s earrings, probably just to sell them, but Lady Geist’s reaction implies Vyper could wear them herself despite her current model lacking anything resembling ears.)
Are they cold blooded? If so HOW DO THEY STAY WARM IN WINTER???
