I will never forgive Disney or Lucasfilm for never giving us some Skywalker twins searching for their real mother content. It's always about Anakin, and I get it; he's super important, but I find it highly unlikely that Luke wouldn't want to know who his mother is.
I'm pretty sure in canon, Leia once said she had no desire at all to know who her birth parents were because, to her, the Organas were her family—and I can totally see that opinion of hers skyrocketing after Luke tells her their father was VADER of all people and she wouldn't want to have anything to do with her biological family (bar Luke, ofc). But that could also develop Leia's character and how she perceives Vader/Anakin.
Imagine this: she RELUCTANTLY follows Luke as he journeys to find some information about their birth mother, and it turns out they're the kids of Padmé "The Effing Queen and Senator of Naboo" Amidala!!! The ultimate defender of democracy. The woman Leia idolized since being a teenager!
Imagine how shocked she would be to know that a woman like Padmé would fall in love with Vader. But as they dug deeper into the story, the twins come into contact with who Anakin was before the mask and how much Padmé meant to him, and vice versa. It's a story with so much potential! They could even incorporate that joke Mark Hamill loves telling at conventions—of him on the set of Return of the Jedi asking George if Luke and Leia being siblings meant Luke was a prince, and Carrie immediately shouting, "NO!" Imagine Luke attempting a joke: "Hey, you're a princess, and our mother was a queen. Guess that makes me a prince, huh?" And Leia shooting him down with something like, "In your dreams, farmboy!" or a simple "Never!"
