my favorite concept in hyperonline queer discourse is “lesbian spaces” because 99% of the time it means twitter. “invading lesbian spaces” = existing as a person whose identity i don’t like on twitter

like this is so nonsensical because they never say anything about what exact “lesbian spaces” they’re talking about or where it is or what’s happening in it. like are you taking about lesbian bars? are you talking about queer events and mixers? shows? book clubs? nightclubs? hobby groups? college queer groups/events ? what lesbian exclusive space is being invaded like tell me. tell me. and you can’t say a discord server or tiktok or a group chat

ultimately think this is reheated terf rhetoric that young lesbians online have latched onto because it’s convenient for them in their weird fight against bisexual woman/any lesbian that doesn’t act like a lesbian right without actually taking the time to think about what they’re vaguely gesturing at. like “lesbian spaces” really means nothing anymore

Dialectics is when you agree with both of your mutuals who disagree with each other

sometimes being a fan of something means not wanting them to make any more of it
