Post War Jacegon AU where Jahaerys and Jahaera are Jacegonlings but most events still happened more or less the same except that now they're back together and Jace is King. Only :( Aegon's gone mad after the war a la Alicent and he's hallucinating Jahaerys everywhere in the castle, convinced he's just hiding, just around the corner right here in the room. He didn't die, Jace, don't be silly~ Only Jahaera is starting to grow up. And Jahaerys doesn't. And every year Aegon becomes more distressed around his daughter because she's just a vivid reminder of how old Jahaerys should be vs how old the delusion!Jahaerys actually is. By the time Jahaera is a teenager, she can barely be in the same room as her mother before Aegon starts to get upset and ask where Jahaerys is. Or worse, ask where Jahaera is when she's standing right in front of him because his mind won't let him accept the fact, in the moment, that his daughter has gotten so much older than her twin brother ever will

Rhaenyra: Oh my son, my beautiful boy! You look as I've always wished!

Aegon: You are so handsome, I can't stand it! Take me to bed now! *swoons*

As we get into late summer, I can't help but think of one of my favorite date tropes: county fairs! So here's a few of my favorites

Luke pays the ride operator to get them "stuck" at the top of the Ferris wheel. Only they actually do get stuck and have to wait up there for over an hour while someone repairs the ride. Aemond spends 90% of the time yelling at Luke and 10% of the time reluctantly admitting that the sunset really is beautiful from up there

Jace winning a plushie for Aegon at one of the carnival games, and Aegon picks the ugliest most evil looking little monster thing and starts calling it their son, and now Jace gets scolded when he calls his 'son' ugly

Joffrey making a huge deal about how he'll protect Daeron if the haunted house scares him, oh it's okay if Daeron throws up on the roller coaster, oh Joffrey's such a big strong man (teehee). I'm sure you can guess which one of them ends up shrieking in the haunted house and bent over a trash can after riding the zipper

Baela and Helaena go to the barn to see the show animals and Helaena finds one of those fancy weird looking chickens and they have this whole sequence where they play mirror with each other while Baela films it for TikTok. They both agree they should get chickens after college, and maybe a goat. They do not have the same reasons for wanting chickens and a goat

Jace getting increasingly frantic as Aegon tries to get frisky in the funhouse, trying to remind him sternly that they are, in fact, surrounded by mirrors. This does not deter Aegon as much as it should

Luke insisting that they go on the tiny dragon rollercoaster for little kids. Aemond being both mortified and charmed by Luke's enthusiasm for the 'baby ride' just because it's a dragon

Joffrey takes Daeron over to the games thinking he can also win Daeron something. Only Daeron thinks he wants to compete against each other like usual so they set up at one of the water gun games and that's how Joffrey ended up receiving Mr. Socks the Fox from Daeron
