My name is Scott, I'm 30 years old.
Heavy metal fan as well as all-round rock and roll lover. Guitar, bass, mandolin - love my riffs and leads equally. I'm pretty much into the speed/trad/power realm of metal but do enjoy some death metal, thrash metal and folk metal.
Historian (early modern period especially), with a soft spot for Central & Eastern Europe, folklore, and military history. I'm Scottish with a strong Irish background - full Celtic vibes here and this will be reflected in my opinions.
Into RPGs, strategy games, tactical shooters, and tabletop wargames and roleplaying. Big Warhammer fan, both Fantasy and 40k.
I read a lot - mainly fantasy and historical fiction, but enjoy detective novels, thrillers, sci-fi, and of course always reading some kind of non-fiction.
I'm a pretty big football fan. Teams I support include Celtic (my main home team), Barcelona, Karpaty Lviv, and the Scottish, Irish and Ukrainian national teams.
Learning Ukrainian and Polish; decent German and French. Planning on finally making good on my heritage and learning Gàidhlig in the near future. Always happy to switch languages if you'd like to practise. Also willing to help people practise their English.
Pro-democracy, anti-authoritarian. No patience for tankie/wehraboo nonsense.
