Spoiler alert. She would still do it.

Even more of a spoiler alert. She has gotten tickled to death by me a handful of times, in this exact manner and with this exact method.

Have you ever noticed how different someone’s reaction to being tickled is when they are easily able to move or flinch away from the tickling compared to when they can’t make evade or ease the sensation at all?

If you just casually and quickly tickle someone, they may be able to get away with just ah “oooh” or “aaaah” or maybe even a light giggle while they move around or away whichever body part is being targeted.  Even if you continue to tickle them, they are able to move from the sensation by reflex just in time before it becomes too unbearable to handle.  If you pay attention to physical reactions from tickling, that is basically what is happening.  The body is moving away from the source of the sensation because it can’t take it any longer.  But what if it is unable to succeed in doing that?

Say someone is being held or restrained while tickled and their physical reflexive reaction to being tickled is completely disabled.  The way they react to this type of tickling is much different than when they are physically somewhat able to fight it off physically.  If someone with extremely sensitive feet has their foot and toes locked in place and unable to reach with their hands, and the sole of their foot and between their toes are being scratched and stroked and touched in ways that they can not handle, they won’t be able to change that.  They won’t be able to pull their foot away, sway their foot from side to side, curl their toes in defense, or whichever other reactive methods they have to protect themselves from the sensations.  What happens then?

This is when you see someone’s pure reaction to being tickled.  They won’t be able to get away with moving at the last second before it gets them.  A combination of hard laughter and screaming is usually what this type of treatment produces.  That hard, loud, exhausting and panic infused laughter sound that is music to a tickler’s ears.  As a ticklee, the ultimate form of submission to tickling is when that laughter is gotten out of you.  Your mind and body will work overtime to protect you from that point, but you know you have suffered great defeat when you are screaming with laughter at the complete expense and mercy of someone else.

The reason for this being, that everyone I’ve ever asked to try this with couldn’t tolerate it because it completely ticked them to death.

Like, to the point where they would just involuntarily resist it, even if they tried their best to let me do my thing.

As hot as it is to worship someone’s ticklish feet, I also wonder what it would be like to have my complete way without any barrier.

So someone can essentially test on themselves how much tickling they can actually tolerate willingly. And then they can imagine if it were someone else, that is not connected to your nervous system, that doesn’t know when this exact breaking point is. And they can and likely will tickle you past it.

“My feet aren’t ticklish. You just surprised me!”

I get it. I know you’ve gotten a little tough over the years. I know it’s been forever since you used to get tickled too much and had to learn to fight it to make them stop. I know you mastered the art of holding yourself together when you get your pedicures done so that you don’t feel embarrassed and weak next to everyone else. I know you’ve practiced self control so that you can hold your ground when somebody attempts to make you lose your composure even the slightest bit.

But the element of surprise is a strange thing. True colors come out when you get caught off guard with a quick little wiggle of my finger on your arch when you wouldn’t think to ever expect it. And by the time you realize that your mind and body has betrayed you, it’s already way too late. You just cracked right in front of my very eyes, and your only choice is to claim the oldest excuse in the book.
