I love you or I love you?!
In Spanish there are two âI love youâsâ: te quiero and te amo. The differences are pretty easy.
Te quiero is soft, like something you say to the friends you appreciate, to your pet or when you just started a relationship with someone.Â
Te amo is stronger. It supposedly comes from the bottom of your heart and you mean it. It can be said between spouses or long-time relationships; also it can have a non-romantic connotation, since it can be said between parents and children. Some friends say it to each other, too, mostly joking.Â
