It doesn't matter whether it's demons or something perfectly mundane, Mira is devastated. She's the visual, the dancer, the choreographer. She can't lose a leg!

The uneven lump underneath her hospital sheets says otherwise.

She expected to get hurt hunting demons, she expected that a crazy fan might try and attack them.

She didn't expect the stage collapse. Old joints in an older building. It was always going to come down, but the venue really thought it would hold up another couple years. Or maybe the inspection didn't go as planned, but cancelling a huntrix concert would basically by signing the death certificate of the aging facility.

She's got so many different feelings. She can't dance for month, as least. She might never be able to act as the visual again, she needs help getting to the bathroom.

But she kept them safe. She saw the first beam as it swung down to the crowd. Years and years of training launched her into the crowd. She caught the stage piece, and the crowd pulled each other to safety as Rumi and Zoey handled the masses and evacuation.

And then the second beam fell, and the third, and Mira's strong, but she's not that strong.

The way that while Rumi worries about being perfect and Zoey worries about being enough, Mira worries about them being okay.
