Olympics 2020 - no new sport decision until 2016

According to this Inside the Games report, any decision about new sports for the Tokyo 2020 games will not be made until next year.  Selected quotes:

Tournament of Champions - Quarters

Two massive upsets as the quarter-finals of the Tournament of Champions concluded in New York …

Thomas Bach, the International Olympic Committee president, has given the strongest indication yet that a new sport - possibly squash - will be added to the 2020 Olympic programme.
