classicists emily wilson, mary beard and professor edith hall are all big inspirations for me! i often worry that classics is a dying field but they all seem to thrive in it and have so much obvious passion

i definitely want to get to know you better but so far you seem super cool!! within the tsh fandom i especially love finding people i can yap about the twins with because it’s a subject many shy away from plus i feel we have a lot in common

I would love to get to know you better too, and I think you’re absolutely right about us having a lot in common(Ethel Cain, The Secret History, a love for classics)! Also you’re one of my favorite mutuals, so being seen as cool by you is a compliment I’ll take to my grave.

I agree about the twins, and it’s a shame so many people in the fandom tend to shy away from conversations about them and their dynamic. Fans seem to shy away from discussions about sex & sexuality within the book in general which is a shame because it’s one of the core elements of the novel and what drives the plot forward.

21. describe a nightmare you’ve had

the most recent one i had was that i had been abruptly transferred to a french school (i don’t speak french) and my friends were all there speaking fluent french to me and i tried to explain to them i don’t speak french but they couldn’t understand my english so then i tried to do the work but i couldn’t because it was in french and then a teacher (who happened to be my old ballet teacher) told me off in french and with increasing desperation i tried to explain i don’t speak french but she only got more angry and some point i just started writing “i feel very bad” over and over
