I think to make this blog a bit different, I will try and reblog less (or at least, when I do, to explain my tag opinions on such more), so the blog is easier to read through. I also want to try and express myself more in terms of treating this like an actual blog. You know, talking about my day and stuff, not just how writing went. I mean, there's not MUCH to say, my days are a tad boring, but you know.
Yesterday was pretty interesting and fun, though! It was my cousin's 11th birthday, and while I have... Complicated relationships with my extended family, the lil cousins are all right. We first had to deal with some stuff concerning my brother, who's going to Poland soon, gonna mostly be there for a while. It's an odd feeling for sure, but one I'm mostly used to. Once we dealt with that (and I bought some early Christmas presents for my sister and a dear friend of mine), we went to get my grandma out of her senior home, for a quick trip to the hospital to check something (I think it had to do with her legs but I'm not quite sure). I... Can't sugarcoat it, hate my grandma, she's a piece of work (seriously, she's mean and vile and cruel, she's not a sweet old grandma), but that part went by fast, thankfully.
We then had an impromptu visit to the park, where I played some football with my other young cousin, who's quite the sweet boy. He seems to really love me and my brothers, and it's easy to hang with him. My body is still regaining its strength two years past cancer (the anniversary of my diagnosis is soon), but I do feel like I'm getting stronger all the time. Just gotta keep trucking. Regardless, it was fun to play, and I even had one of the best experiences in life: a coca cola in the summer after working hard. Best one I've had in ages, ngl.
After that, we went to a pancake/waffle house type restaurant, where I got this kitkat pancake!
I also had a great chocolate milkshake so that was nice!
After that I got quite sleepy so I napped in the car while we drove to my aunt's house, where the cousins live. It's their new place, they moved into it after the divorce, so it was my first time there. Decent place, if a tad small. I don't know how I'll ever live in an apartment, unless it was with my sister. I don't mind sharing small spaces with her.
I was worried because I was tired and because it was getting late that it would not be fun, but it was, actually! We played Kahoot (I didn't win but it was still fun, had to ace questions about how well we know the cousins), then this word game (idk what it's called in, like, America) where you have to guess words while your teammate guides you by gesturing at the word with other words... Idk how to describe it but I was excellent at it.
For those who remember my shortlived Marvel sideblog, I am a BIG MCU fan and defender, and I've been on a rewatch since April of every single project in chronological order. Yesterday (thanks to delays, I'm supposed to do 3 eps a day at most) I had to do the final 5 eps of Luke Cage S1 (and today thanks to delays I have all 10 eps of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man), but I managed to do the Luke Cage eps, and it was pretty fun! It was my first time watching, very solid, consistent show! Gonna be crazy to watch an entire 10 episode cartoon in one day today, but we'll see how I manage! I'm also writing SC of course, I recently wrote about 2.7k as a starter for the second part of the Ashley Q chapter, went well, and more is coming today, a lot more I feel, I have loads of ideas!
Speaking of SC, later today I'll make a masterpost with all my SC stuff and also ones for the Weekenders and Loud House fics, so that I can remind anyone who was reading that I have this new blog now!
