spock displaying insane levels of devotion and loyalty: this is an entirely normal and logical course of action obviously.

girl. we licherally got EVERYTHING ELSE. canon mind link. chess date. implied future long distance chess buddies. drift compatible spirk. jim flirting with spock within 3.2 seconds of seeing him over the viewer screen. mental wavelength so in sync the crew is fujoshing out about it on the bridge during a life or death kinda stakes operation. spock heard he had to do some shockingly intimate boundaries crossing meld with someone and IMMEDIATELY thought. hey so there is this guy (we met twice) ((all the while his licheral girlfriend was on the ship? ok? after we established the qualifications needed for this to work were not piloting experience ect but pure vibes??)) paul wesley fulling locking into the shatner hung the moon and all the stars eyes At All Times. wistfully watching spock walk away from him. maybe call me jim // yes jim. t'hy'la implications. like. and u want them to shoehorn a tarsus iv mention in there??? sister this is the greed they talk of in the bible 🙏

and even the spirk scenes, which obviously are just delightful bc of spirk, had no logical basis for such drastic action (a mindmeld) happening between them
