tumblr is currently where I’m posting updates about it, but I’ve been a bit slow since I’m moving in a week (on my birthday actually) and I’ve been getting commissions lately, so between that and personal art, it’s been hard to do ANGELB/TE stuff as often.

for some good news though, I think I’ll be showing updates of two other character designs for the film, one named nurse and the other being the irl counterpart that this takes place in

Liar liar pants on fire.

I think when it came to my characters, it came down to what vibe I wanted the characters to have, and what nationality/race I already gave them.

For Penny, since she’s rebellious and upbeat and somewhat crazy, I gave her a bright but gentle color palette to match her soft blond hair and rich brown skin, while leaning into her scenecore aesthetic, with the bright neon accents and bright pink eyes

for Sunday, I wanted him to seem friendly, but have colors that indicate mystery or danger, so I went with his dark skin, also blonde hair, and then soft light green for his patchwork skin, but paired it with 2 types of purple for his button and eyes that make the two pairings seem eery and almost voodoo like, since he’s a rag doll.

I’ll edit this later to add pictures, but I think of either

make a random character design and then tweak and adjust based on their personality, interests, and plot role, or

randomly wanted to start posting here more, but I’m in the middle of not only making a concept and starting development on The Lament of Puppets (my ocs) into potentially a real show, but also want to state I’m working on developing a short film titled “ANGELBITE” where I try to depict through the after effects of a person’s mind after abuse and how one lives with it through visual media.

the main character is Sheila, but is based off of my own experiences, and will take place mostly inside of the mind of Sheila and her tackling the monster in her head.
