Ohh I yearn for IDW janegon like Gatsby yearns for that green light across the lake its not even funny.

I semi took inspo from a older fic I read on ao3 when it was Mass Hysteria and it was Winston's wedding, and they were dancing and yearning and ugh it was such a good fic I wanted to draw something similar to it.

I genuinely hate how we get snippets of people talking about it rather than janine and egon actually talking and interacting with one another about anythingggg. Sighhhhh i have complex feelings. JANINEEE and egons there too ig. I struggled because I wanted to do something closer to the comics but I hate this mans hair LIKE it looks okay in the comics but when I do it I feel like exploding.

During the Vinz Clortho encounter:

—We know that Peter is going to see Dana around 9pm, per his suggestion after her rehearsal. Louis’s party is already in full swing by the time Peter arrives at the apartment building.

—According to the Ghostbusters official novelization, Winston and Ray spend the night at Fort Detmerring. In the film, we see this as part of Ray’s dream sequence with the floating ghost. We also see Winston and Ray driving alone at night.

This establishes that Egon and Janine are working alone together well into the evening. Sure, Egon lives in the firehouse. But why would the secretary still be there?? Especially since the neighborhood is not very nice—is Janine going to take the subway home alone or try to hail a cab late at night by herself??

Or was she just planning to spend the night? Hmmm.

Also, deleted scenes make it clear that this wasn’t the first time that they’re burning the midnight oil together.

I like that Egon is honest and blunt.
