hannibal's "nothing happened to me. i happened" is equally hilarious as is heartbreaking. like no this extremely traumatic event did not influence my life in any way i do all this fucked up shit because i think its funny. dont even insinuate that some of my actions might be a result of this thing that happened to me that i clearly never allowed myself to process & will go to great lengths to never talk about. i am above all that i am above any regular human emotions do not look into my damaged weakened heart that i have spent decades guarding from the world. dont ask why i feel the need to assert control in every aspect of my life after it was so violently taken from me. dont worry about it
