“McCone, get her!” Ben sounded near frantic on the other end of the line.  “I have her," came his reply. Juniper glanced around at the street. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. This had been too smooth, too quick, too easy- There was a burst of static, then dead silence. One second ticked by. Two. Three. Four. Five. The radio came to life again, and on the other end, McCone made a punched-out, wounded sound, then a wheezy, “I don’t have her.” Juniper whipped around to look for him on the other side of the street. She couldn’t see him anywhere- even without half his Hunter gear, the man had still stood out in a tattered navy hoodie from his height alone. Minutes ago he was still a head taller than most of the passersby. But now no one stood out, and people were just going about their day, walking to their individual destinations without a care in the world - or an inkling of any danger around them. If the public didn’t notice anything, that didn’t bode well for Sheila, Kathy, or McCone. A quiet, unseen, and unheard attack on a Co-Op street meant effective - and most likely lethal. She found Ben on her side of the street, and the pair shared a single worried glance-  And Ben took off across the street in a full sprint towards where McCone had been last.
