For Give and Take up to its current point (to not get too spoilery) 👀 - 🏴‍☠️ Were there any points in which your characters tried (or succeeded) to commit mutiny against your planned plot? Where did they most want to rebel?

And/or this for it too - 🙏 Was there anything your character(s) really really really wanted to do? Did you let them?

🏴‍☠️ - For most of the existing chapters, the characters have behaved, it's just the setting/their surroundings that haven't. i.e in the last chapter where they escape the hotel, the tech used in the attack was different. Originally it was gonna be something that basically blasted the surrounding area in like, horizontal little waves and the plan was that McCone was going to clock it and then throw himself directly in the perceived line of fire in favor of getting the other two out of it with literally no care for his own safety. Ben wasn't going to see the wheels turning in his head about it but JJ was and that was the tipoff. But I did so many changes to that chapter I changed how the attack went and ended up with what I have now with McCone getting injured and JJ basically leaping to conclusions despite evidence that she's at least half wrong.

Part 2 of that answer basically combined with 🙏: Again the trio has mostly behaved up til now but this current chapter I'm writing, McTeague is driving me insane. It was supposed to be a nice, smooth transition between them arguing and then deciding to be Otherwise Occupied with each other. They've earned it. They're furious AND horny for each other. They need to bone. But as I keep writing this they just keep arguing instead. Truly my pre-marriage-divorced ship of all time. Just full-on spiritually "AND ANOTHER THING"ing each other nonstop.
