Sort your fucking life out, mate

There's a horrendous news story right now about an adopted baby who was murdered by their adoptive parents. Nightmarish.

The parents in question just-so happen to be two men.

So, certain elements (coughcoughDailyMailcoughcough) have taken it upon themselves to speculate that, oh, maybe social services were too woke or too afraid of being cancelled by the PC brigade to intervene and save the child.

And, like, no. No. Fuck you.

Social services is stripped to the bone, for one, as should come as no surprise.

For two, every time a heterosexual couple murders their child either purposefully or through neglect (which happens with depressing regularity) there's never any of this nudgenudge winkwink bollocks. No-one ever suggests that maybe services are somehow biased in favour of straight couples to overlook abuse, and no-one would, because that'd be insane.

But two men? Whoa, hey now! I mean, they wouldn't be gay if it wasn't important to the story somehow, would it?

Fancy that! The effective vaccine is effective at the thing it's effective at! Amazing!

Mostly though remember the opposition there was to this that mostly boiled down to:

"It'll make teenagers have sex! What's the risk of cancer compared to that?"

and

"I don't want to talk to my teenager about sex! What's the risk of cancer compared to that?"

When really all you needed to do was... you know... shut up. S'a vaccine. S'effective. Cancer's bad.
