i love things that come in glass jars because once its over the glass jar is mine
Oh, also, I belatedly notice that a 1000 point game only bestows 2 Detachment Points, meaning that you can't use, say, War Horde if the game is too small.
Um, how about no? How about we ignore that, thank you.
That's dumb.
Again, not that I’m Mr Rules, and I understand that clarity is important and that sometimes these questions are being asked with a view to “How can I exploit this” and you also get the actually useful “Which of these official sources trumps the other” questions, but sometimes I do find GW’s FAQ’s just… baffling.
“Q: If a rule allows my unit to pile-in or consolidate an extra distance in the Fight phase, when can I use that rule?”
Gonna go out on a limb here and assume it’ll be when that unit consolidates or piles-in, brah. Just a guess. Feeling in my waters. Mean, could be the shooting phase, maybe. When you pick your targets? Maybe? But probably not. Probably when you do the things that use the words that you just said. Just a guess.
“Q: When checking coherency for my unit can my unit be in multiple groups?”
Well I’m no rule scholar but given that the rules explicitly tell you no in words that say no I’m thinking no. We are approaching “You said don’t touch the thing but I just need to ask: can I touch the thing?” territory on question quality here.
“Q: If a unit makes any disembark move in a turn (i.e. Disembark move, Emergency Disembark move etc.) has it disembarked that turn?”
That’s a very clear result of this ridiculous Keyword Soup and Specific Move Type structure that the game has ended up as. Because you’d think (you’d hope) that no-one would ever need to ask that question. But here we are.
And just for the sake of balance:
“Q: Do models destroyed when a unit is out of coherency count for missions objectives?”
See, that’s actually a good question. Unlikely to come up often, but actually good. The answer is yes, by the way. Which is fair to me.

Also, I typically avoid internet comments in things because... why wouldn't you? But sometimes (seemingly arbitrarily) the BBC will allow comments on certain articles and I'm always morbidly curious.
Today, something about how stock prices 'jumped' (by a fraction of a percent) and oil prices 'dropped' following the announcement of the outline of a framework of a concept of another peace deal dropped had a comment basically pointing out how this keeps happening and that they're sick of it. Fair.
This was immediately followed by someone saying basically 'Well if your friends hadn't attacked on October seventh then none of this would have happened!'
Things went downhill very fast.
But standouts for me include such broad arguments as:
Palestine doesn't actually exist, so it's fine.
Israel was actually there first, technically, so it's fine
If Israel really wanted genocide they could just drop bigger bombs - they haven't, ergo, they don't want to do that.
Ethnic cleansing is such a dirty word, how about 'redistribution'?
Hamas and Hezbollah are funded by the UN!
You just hate Israel! Wah!
There are no winners here, but I love how these are the arguments. Anytime I think about people splitting hairs on what constitutes genocide or warbling about "Oh, they voted for terrorists" I just remember those pictures of how Gaza is now basically flat, and how many bodies are under that rubble.
Yeah! Take that! That'll show you! We're the most careful and considerate military in the world! Our soldiers are putting their lives at risk!
Sigh.

Yeah, sure. Sure. Sure I'll believe you. Yeah. Yeah. That's a thing. Yeah, totally. Totally. I believe you. Yep. That's real. That's a real thing. Didn't make that up, nope. Yep. Real. I believe you. Yeah.
See, now, if he'd had, say, a ballroom or something to have the event in...
I also like that, according to some of their 'intercepted communications:
Group members stated that they wanted "to protect the United States, which they believed was headed in the wrong direction", an FBI document said. "Members of the group believed that the United States needed to be torn down so that it could be rebuilt," the document said.
Which basically describes, you know, the Heritage Foundation? For one?
